Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Brandon Siebert of San Marcos

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Brandon Siebert. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Brandon , it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
Being out in nature walking barefoot allows me to lose track of time and really allow me to connect back to myself!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Brandon and I run a kids ninja birthday party company where we set up ninja style obstacles to help them stay active and work on their body mechanics like balance, strength, and mobility by using obstacles that they have to climb walk across and crawl under. What makes my company so unique is that we are outdoors usually at a local park or someone’s backyard and really keeping the kids off of electronic devices and out in nature using their Abilities that they have with their body.

I have always felt that we have an inner child within all of us and somewhere along the line of growing up. We lose connection with that so I really created this company to help kids stay in touch with that playful side of themselves and that inner child.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
The moment that really shaped how I see the world is when I realized what my true passion was, which is working with people, mainly kids and allowing them to really connect themselves and understand who they are without outside influences.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Don’t be influenced by other people really tap into your own existence and being and allow yourself to shine into the bright star that you are. We are all so unique and different. It’s important to figure out that in yourself.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief you used to hold tightly but now think was naive or wrong?
That we have to find a high-paying career in order to survive in this world. Once I realized what I was passionate about and started to follow that is when I really truly started to grow and become the person I am today!

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I am definitely doing what I was born to do and helping others and keeping others active and moving. Along with that comes with authenticity and being true to yourself and not wearing masks to cover up something that we aren’t. When we are able to be our true authentic self, that is when we are truly doing what we were born to do.
