Chris Redner shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Chris, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
When I think of what brings me joy outside of my profession, it is supporting nonprofits, like Father Joe’s Village, feeding the homeless and also supporting the Special Olympics.
I feel my contributions make a difference in helping others, and I am glad I am able to participate to help make the world a better place.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I have been in the promotional products business for many years with PromoShop, and it is a privately held, minority-owned and certified, full service promotional advertising and marketing firm, Our core business is to provide creative marketing and promotional solutions for our client partners. Our in-house departments work collaboratively to create and research the ideal premiums or product ideas that exceed our clients’ objectives.
PromoShop focuses its resources on development and execution of marketing and merchandising initiatives that connect a brand with its target audience in a meaningful, memorable way. We create ideas that are objective-based and
produce results that are clearly defined and measured.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
I had two mentors that help in my success, Stephanie Kraft, who I went under her wing, and she taught me the art of selling and added value to each client from start to completion, and then the follow up to confirm complete customer satisfaction.
Also, Tony Robbins, who I followed every day for three years in learning his perspective on life and business, which has helped me be better in business and life.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I never give up. I sometimes surprise myself and pause for a moment and think maybe I should give up, but then I move forward, I have never been a quitter, at anything.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
Once again, I have to say I admire Tony Robbins. He continually teaches me through his workshops and digital media the meaning of contribution and constantly improving.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most a peace when I am with my wife and family, that is what matters most to me. I have achieved respect and success in business and my personal relationships, and I sleep peacefully at night knowing each day I have done my best for myself, and others.
