We’re looking forward to introducing you to Jennifer Innocenti. Check out our conversation below.
Jennifer, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: When was the last time you felt true joy?
I felt pure joy while traveling this summer with my three teenage sons! We traveled to Tanzania, Africa for a Safari adventure. It was wonderful spending 24/7 together without any digital distractions!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I offer health & wellness in the forms of sound healing, yoga, meditation, and breath work. All of these modalities have been integral in my grief healing journey. I lost my husband 9 1/2 years ago. I want to meet people where they are along their journeys and help in anyway I can.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
I lost my husband to suicide in 2016. That definitely shaped how I see the world and myself.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering has taught me to be humble, grateful, and more empathetic. I have learned far more with my struggles than I believe I would have with any amount of success.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
Well, being a solo parent to 3 boys is my lifelong project ha ha! I really enjoy bringing sound hearing and Yoga to people who don’t have access. I want to work with different communities and introduce these healing modalities.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
I understand how quickly life can change in the blink of an eye. In 2004 I lost my 19-year-old brother to a drunk driver, and in 2016 I lost my husband to suicide. Both were shocking and tragic and helped to shape the woman I am today. This taught me to appreciate every moment and don’t sweat the small stuff!
