Logan Henry shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Logan , so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
I have two small boys, and my eldest is about to turn two. Everything he says makes me laugh, except when my wife or I ask him not to do something, and he says ‘no!’ They both make me proud, but my toddler is constantly discovering things that were initially a challenge, and now he can do them, which really makes me proud.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am the founder of L H Real Estate Group, a small team within Coldwell Banker. I have been with Coldwell since I began my Real Estate selling journey in 2014. We have been fortunate to help hundreds of people with either purchasing or selling throughout San Diego County. I have a wonderful wife who just recently rolled out her staging business, and we have two sons under the age of 2, so we are extremely busy. I am also a part-owner of a local bar and restaurant off Mission Gorge in Allied Gardens, called the Duke. If you can’t tell, I like to keep myself busy!
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
I firmly believe the loss of trust breaks bonds quicker than anything. This holds true, in any aspect of life where there is a relationship, whether it is personal or business. I was recently listening to a Brian Buffini Podcast ( a major mentor in my life), and he had Dr. Henry Cloud on there discussing this very thing. If you mistakenly mislead a client and the level of trust has been put at risk, it is tough to regain that. In my line of work, you are dealing with a person’s biggest asset/purchase of their life, and they need to be able to trust you to guide them through the process.
As far as restoring them, it is a slow process, that takes a great deal of time, and forgiveness.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
As cliché as this sounds, the biggest fear that has held me back is the fear of failure. You will miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. I definitely wish I had taken more risks when I was younger. I am definitely more open to it now; they need to be more calculated, as I have a family needs to be involved in all of my decision-making.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
As I mentioned previously, I admire Brian Buffini. He is highly successful in his Real Estate Coaching and Speaking marketplace. He and his company’s goal for the last 30 years has been to “Impact and Improve the lives of People.” That is actually what he has done for me. He has been married for over 35 years, has 6 kids who have become successful in their own right, and is genuinely a good person.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
I think they would miss my staying in contact. I try to speak with my clients at least once a quarter, and those closer to me once a month. I also like to have Client Appreciation Parties throughout the year, including my pie party right before Thanksgiving, where clients come by my office and pick a pie as a little token of gratitude from the team and family to theirs.
