Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Marnina Reid-Fajardo

We recently had the chance to connect with Marnina Reid-Fajardo and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Marnina, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
All are important but I believe integrity is number one.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! I’m Marnina Reid-Fajardo, the founder of Luminous Heart & Face, a holistic skincare and healing sanctuary in Solana Beach. My work weaves together holistic skin therapy, somatic healing, and quantum energy work to help women reconnect to their inner radiance — not just through their skin, but through their whole being.
Over time, I noticed that so many women I worked with were glowing on the outside but still felt a quiet ache inside — many had done personal growth work yet still longed for joy, love, and deeper fulfillment. That inspired me to create Radiant & Ready, a six-week online transformational program that helps women bridge that gap — to move from “healing” into thriving, and to open their hearts to love and aliveness again.
What makes my work unique is how it blends science, soul, and beauty — everything from advanced, clean skincare treatments and energy medicine to inner work practices that support emotional and spiritual wellness. It’s all about helping women feel luminous from the inside out.
Right now, I’m really focused on growing both sides of my work — expanding Luminous Heart & Face as a healing hub here in San Diego and sharing Radiant & Ready with women around the world. At the heart of it all, my mission is simple: to help women remember their natural beauty, their worth, and their light — and to feel radiant and ready for everything life and love have to offer.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
n my experience, what most often breaks the bonds between people is disconnection from the heart — when fear, unhealed pain, or unspoken expectations begin to build invisible walls between us. Many of us were never taught how to stay open and present in moments of discomfort, so we protect ourselves instead of reaching for understanding. Over time, those small moments of self-protection can quietly harden into distance.
What restores connection is presence, empathy, and courage — the willingness to truly see and hear one another without judgment. Healing happens when we choose curiosity instead of blame, softness instead of defense. Whether I’m holding space for someone on my treatment table or guiding women through somatic therapy or quantum work, I see how love and acceptance begins to flow again when people feel safe to be real, messy, and fully human.
In essence, what breaks bonds is fear and what restores them is love and compassion.. And that love and compassion begins within. When we restore the bond with ourselves — our bodies, our hearts, our truth — our relationships naturally begin to heal too.
That’s really the heart of all my work — whether through holistic skincare, energy healing, or women’s transformation. I help people come home to themselves, and to remember that beauty, connection, and love all start from within. When that inner light is restored, everything and everyone around us begins to reflect it back.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self, “babe, you don’t have to carry what isn’t yours.”
You don’t have to take on the feelings, pain, or experiences of others as if they’re your responsibility to fix. Your sensitivity is a gift, but it needs balance and it’s not your job to hold the whole world in your heart.
I would remind her to trust herself deeply — to do her own due diligence, even when something or someone looks promising, and to make choices that honor her own energy, intuition, and truth.
Most of all, I’d tell her she doesn’t need to earn love through self-sacrifice or people-pleasing. The people who are meant for her will love her for her essence, not her effort.
The healing journey for me has really been about transforming over-responsibility into self-responsibility — learning that caring for myself first isn’t selfish, it’s sacred. It’s what allows me to serve others from overflow instead of depletion. That’s the message I now share with every woman I work with: your light doesn’t need to shrink or strain to belong — it just needs to be seen, by you.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, absolutely. The public version of me is the real me, just expressed through different layers of light.
What you see in my business and online is genuinely who I am: a woman who’s done deep inner work, who loves beauty, energy, and emotional truth. I don’t put on a polished mask to appear a certain way; what I share is a reflection of the same energy I bring to my clients in person — honesty, warmth, and a sincere desire to help people feel safe to be themselves.
That said, I’ve learned that being “real” doesn’t mean being completely exposed. There are sacred parts of me that I keep private — not out of hiding, but out of reverence. The woman who laughs with clients during facials, leads women through emotional release work, or posts about healing and joy is the same woman who cries, prays, and learns in private. It’s all me — just expressed through different seasons and settings.
I think authenticity is really about integration — letting your inner truth and your outer expression match. Whether it’s through Luminous Heart & Face or Radiant & Ready, I strive to live and work from that place where my presence, my purpose, and my energy all align. That’s when life, and connection, feels most alive, and when I feel I am living my purpose.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Are you tap dancing to work? Have you been that level of excited at any point in your career? If so, please tell us about those days.
Absolutely — many times! I still have those mornings where I feel like I’m literally tap dancing into my work.
When I first opened my healing and skincare space in Solana Beach, I was over the moon — a cozy, rustic sanctuary filled with natural light, crystals, and the scent of herbs and essential oils. Even though the business has since evolved and taken on a new name — Luminous Heart & Face — the feeling remains the same. It’s my sacred space where people come to rest, release, and reconnect with themselves. Every corner reflects the intention I set from the very beginning: to create beauty that heals.
That evolution taught me that sometimes, change is just life’s way of leading us closer to our true name and purpose.

Then, this year a whole new wave of joy came when my dear practitioner friend and I co-hosted our first Restore Your Essence Retreat in San José del Cabo, Mexico. To witness people come alive again — resting, laughing, reconnecting to their essence — was beyond anything I’d imagined and something I’ve wanted for 10 years. The ocean, the ceremony, the shared healing… it felt like all the pieces of my life’s work came together.

And now, I feel that same electric excitement as I grow Radiant & Ready, my six-week transformational program. It’s the culmination of everything I love — helping women feel radiant in their bodies, ready in their hearts, and alive in their lives.

Each part of my work — from hands-on facials to energy healing to transformational coaching — lights me up in a different way. I feel incredibly grateful to do what I love, in a way that continues to evolve with me. Every day I get to help someone reconnect with their beauty, wholeness, and joy. So yes, I’m tap dancing.
