Mya, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
When I’m hyper focused.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a local writer, and I work in healthcare. I’ve completed a fantasy series – trilogy. I might go back and do a prequel someday, but I’d like to finish a standalone fantasy and a new series I’ve been playing around with. I have two short stories in an anthology with STARS AND SABERS, one coming out this summer. I’ll be a contributor for another one next year.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
That I had to follow a certain and expected path.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Don’t take things too seriously.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
