We recently had the chance to connect with Nave Guedj and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Nave , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
My music that I’ve been working for a long time
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Nave Guedj, a bilingual singer-songwriter, musician, and vocal coach, creating music in both Hebrew and English. My songs, like “At Moshlemet – (Your Perfect)” and “Itech Ani Acheret”, are built on raw honesty, emotional depth, and the belief that music can heal and connect. I’m currently working on my upcoming album and preparing for a special live show with my band at Namal Tel Aviv this summer.
What makes my brand unique is the blend of heartfelt storytelling and powerful performance, alongside my passion for helping other singers find their true voice through SLS vocal coaching.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of feeling powerful was when I stood on stage as a little girl and sang in front of an audience for the first time. I remember closing my eyes, taking a deep breath, and feeling something magical when my voice filled the room. In that moment I understood that I could touch people’s hearts through music, and that realization has stayed with me ever since.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain and started using it as power when I realized my story could inspire and help others. I recently shared a video about my teenage years, when I moved from the big city to a small and distant place where I never felt like I truly belonged. During that time I developed an eating disorder, and for years I carried that struggle silently.
Music and writing became my safe space, helping me heal and release the pain, and I poured all those feelings into my songs. Today I use my journey and my music to empower teenage girls and women who face similar challenges, showing them that our deepest wounds can become our greatest strength when we turn them into art and connection
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
I believe the public version of me is the real me. After all, I’m just a girl who grew up in the north of Israel in a warm and simple family. No matter what stage I’m on or where I perform, I always hope to stay true to that core part of myself.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I knew I had only 10 years left, the first thing I would stop doing is doubting myself and holding back out of fear. Life is too short to waste energy on insecurity or trying to please others. Instead, I would fully commit to living authentically, creating music that matters, and nurturing the relationships that truly uplift me.
