Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Rayko Batista

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Rayko Batista . Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Rayko , it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
What I’m most proud of building is something no one really sees.

It’s the inner architecture I’ve been shaping over years—built from discipline, patience, faith, and a deep belief in people. I’ve created a space within myself that makes room for others, even when the world doesn’t. A space where ideas are protected, where artists are nurtured, and where my younger self—who once let go of a dream—is finally being heard again.

People see the songs, the videos, the performances. But they don’t see the hours I’ve spent learning tools no one handed me, the spiritual path that guides my decisions behind the scenes, or the values I’ve protected like bricks in a foundation.

What I’ve built isn’t just content. It’s a way of moving with integrity. A creative ecosystem held up by trust, intention, and love.

That’s the real work. And that’s what I’m proudest of.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hey, I’m Rayko B — a Cuban-born multidisciplinary artist, creative director, and music producer. I’ve had the privilege of working across major label projects and independent releases, blending visuals, sound, and storytelling into experiences that feel personal, spiritual, and cinematic.

What makes my work unique is that I approach creation as both an artist and a strategist. I use AI tools to push the boundaries of music and video production, but at the heart of it, I’m still that kid from Havana chasing the feeling of truth in every sound, every shot, every word. I’ve produced tracks released through Warner and Sony Latin, directed music videos infused with ritual and myth, and I’m constantly searching for new ways to connect with fans and artists alike.

Right now, I’m developing a self-sustaining creative course that teaches how to make AI-generated music videos — not just to follow trends, but to empower creators to tell deeper stories and build freedom through art. I’m also preparing for a relocation to Japan to expand my work globally while diving deeper into spiritual and cultural preservation.

At the end of the day, my brand is about raw expression, elevated craft, and building a bridge between ancestral wisdom and futuristic vision.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
When everything fell apart — when plans failed, when support vanished, when I was brought to my knees — I had no choice but to sit with the silence, the discomfort, the raw truth. And in that stillness, I discovered the parts of myself that success had masked: resilience, surrender, humility, and the ability to listen to life without trying to control it.

Success is loud. It celebrates outcomes.
But suffering? Suffering whispers. It teaches patience, sharpens intuition, and births compassion.

Without it, I would’ve never learned how to build from the inside out — not just as an artist, but as a human.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is a real part of me — but not all of me.

What you see publicly is curated through intention, through vision, through story. It’s the version of me that’s clear on mission, that shows up for the message, the music, the movement. But behind that presence is someone constantly evolving, someone quieter, someone who wrestles with doubt and still seeks meaning in the ordinary.

The public me is real because it’s built on truth.
But the private me is where that truth is tested, nurtured, and refined.

Both are me. One is the echo; the other is the source.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
If I retired tomorrow, my customers would miss the fusion of depth and innovation I bring into every project — the way I blend spirit and sound, strategy and soul.

They’d miss how I don’t just deliver a product — I deliver an experience. Whether it’s a song, a music video, a mentorship session, or a performance, I translate emotion into motion. I help artists and brands see themselves more clearly and then amplify that clarity into something people can feel.

They’d miss the genuine belief I hold in the people I work with. The way I connect dots between culture, sound, visuals, and intention. The energy I bring into a room or a screen — an energy that says, “We’re not just creating — we’re creating something that matters.”
