Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with RieAnne Aradanas of Murrieta/Temecula, Ca

RieAnne Aradanas shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

RieAnne , we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
One thing I’ve been especially proud of lately is doing my pop-ups. Most recently my macaron pop-ups. They’ve become such a meaningful part of my journey, because every time I set one up it gives me the chance to circle back to the dessert that started it all for me. I get to push myself by creating new and different flavors, and the best part is seeing how much people enjoy them.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is RieAnne Aradanas. I’m 30 years old, happily married to my high school sweetheart, and a proud mom of two. I started SweetcRIEations at 18 by selling macarons, and over the years I’ve also become known for decorated sugar cookies and cakes. Recently, I’ve returned to my roots with themed macaron pop-ups, where I create 12 unique flavors around each theme. It’s been such a fun way to share my creativity while still making treats my amazing customers love. While custom orders will always be special to me, these pop-ups let me push my imagination and celebrate the dessert that started it all.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A moment that really shaped how I see the world has been becoming a wife and a mom. My husband and kids motivate me every single day. They remind me of what’s most important and push me to keep growing, both personally and through my business. Seeing life through their eyes makes me want to create, dream bigger, and work harder, not just for myself but for them too.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I wouldn’t say there was ever a time I almost gave up. If anything, I’ve added more to my plate. I recently started school again while also being a full-time mom and running my business. It can definitely be a lot to juggle, but it’s also shown me how much I’m capable of and how important it is to keep pushing forward.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would probably say that what really matters to me is being there for them. Whether that’s showing up with treats or just being someone they can vent to. They know I’ll always be honest and tell it how it is, but with love and support behind it.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
If I retired tomorrow, I think my customers would miss my desserts or at least I hope so! But honestly, what I know I’d miss most is being part of their events. I’ve had customers who’ve trusted me with desserts for their kids’ milestones year after year, and it’s those relationships and memories that make it so hard to imagine ever stopping.
