We recently had the chance to connect with Sara Beveridge and have shared our conversation below.
Sara, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Lately, my 17-month-old daughter, Theia, has been my greatest source of joy—and my unofficial boss! From her infectious laughter to the way she discovers something new every day, she’s a constant reminder to embrace curiosity, playfulness, and the little moments that make life so rich.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Sara Beveridge, an event planner based in San Diego. I specialize in creating elevated, thoughtful weddings and events that blend timeless design with personal storytelling. What makes my work unique is the way I combine a deep love for details—like custom florals, textures, and curated spaces—with a focus on creating experiences that feel both luxurious and effortless. Every project is an opportunity to bring a couple’s vision to life in a way that feels authentic, meaningful, and visually unforgettable. Lately, I’ve been exploring bringing natural, organic textures into coastal luxury weddings, which has been an exciting way to push creative boundaries while keeping celebrations personal and joyful.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A trip to India was a truly eye-opening experience for me. My husband is Indian, and seeing his homeland firsthand gave me a deep appreciation for its vibrant culture, resilience, and beauty. It also made me reflect on how incredibly fortunate we are in our own lives, and it’s a perspective I carry into everything I do—both personally and professionally.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self: you are enough. It’s a reminder to trust your instincts, embrace your journey, and know that you don’t need to measure up to anyone else—your worth has always been inherent
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would probably say that being a good friend is really important to me. I value connection, keeping an open door—both literally and figuratively—and being someone they can rely on for support, conversation, or just a laugh when they need it most.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people remember me as someone who was kind, generous, and fun—a person who brought warmth and joy to those around me, and made others feel seen, supported, and uplifted.
