We recently had the chance to connect with Sunni T. Connor and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Sunni T., thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I love this question. I’m up by 5:30 a.m., and I always begin my day with spiritual practices. I spend 30 to 45 minutes in meditation, followed by journaling to clear my mind and set my intentions. After that, I review my schedule for the day and create a priority-based list—not by what’s easiest, but by what matters most.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Sunni, a multi-passionate entrepreneur based in San Diego. Among my many ventures, two stand out as my most thriving. The first is Frequency Tours, a local touring company that takes guests on scenic mountain hikes culminating in a powerful guided meditation—an experience that blends nature, mindfulness, and inner clarity.
My second is my coaching practice, where I guide clients toward alignment and teach practical ways to manifest within a peaceful, intentional reality. Both businesses reflect my core mission: helping people connect more deeply with themselves while creating lives filled with purpose and possibility.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before society placed its limitations on me, I was a free spirit who believed anything was possible. But over time, I fell into the mold of who the world told me I had to be—a miserable 9-to-5 worker, confined to a cubicle and longing for escape. That painful chapter became the foundation of my book, Society Vs You, where I explore how we lose ourselves to outside expectations and, more importantly, how we can reclaim our freedom and live authentically.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me that no matter what life throws my way, I will continue to live—it is never the end of my story. Each challenge became proof that I could endure and overcome. I also discovered that there is always light beyond the darkness, but it requires courage and determination to reach it.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
It is now. For so long, I pretended to be an image I thought others would accept. But living that way kept me from reaching my full potential. Everything shifted when I chose authenticity. Today, I show up as my true self—fully and unapologetically—because I want to leave behind the real me, not a false version of who I never was.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes. I give my best to everything I do because I’ve realized I’m not competing with the outside world—I’m competing with the person I used to be. That mindset shapes everything I create. I believe my clients can see and feel the authentic energy I bring, and that’s what makes the work truly meaningful.
