Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Sofia Juarez.
Ana Sofia, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started my career in the fitness industry because of personal health issues. In early adulthood, I battled back issues due to low vitamin D levels and compression fractures due to my low levels. Growing up, I worked a salon which on a professional level I would always wear high heels and the problem only worsened. Fast forward to when I got pregnant with my eldest son, I thought I would be on bed rest because of how intolerable the pain would be at times. I had recently joined a new gym and started attending all their fitness classes and my love for being active only grew. I continued to work out during my whole pregnancy. Not long after I gave birth, I got my Personal Training Certification. Truly believe being active during my pregnancy made me strong enough to carry the weight of my son. That’s when I knew I would want to help people better their physical health and lifestyle because it truly impacted mine for the better.
I’ve been a Certified Personal Trainer for 5 ½ years and truly have a passion for fitness, inspiring, and be able to help people achieve their fitness goals. I’ve worked for a Navy Base Gym and through a corporate Gym. With all that experience, I have decided to branch out on my own. My background education is in Business, so putting the two was a no brainer. The feeling of being able to impact someone’s health and life is unreal. Fitness is a lifestyle to me and truly has given me strength not only physically but mentally.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My advice for anyone trying to achieve anything is not to second guess yourself. If you truly have a passion for what you do, it will show. Create a life that you can’t wait to get out of bed for. If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you. Starting any business is rough. As long as you’re 110 percent in, have the passion and drive, you will rise above.
It has not been a smooth road, but it’s been worth it. My advice is coming up with a realistic plan/goal. Once achieved continue to make a new one. Don’t do anything that you know is going above your head. Whether it’s financial, time, or anything that you will feel you can’t tackle on your own in that particular time. Quality, not quantity.
Please tell us about Body Bee Fit.
I’m an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer. I’ve been certified for 5 ½ years. My other certifications include Perinatal Fitness, Pilates, Spinning, and TRX. I continue to keep up with my fitness education and strive to learn as much as I can to be one of the best. You can never get complacent in where you are. I’m hungry for knowledge.
I believe what sets me apart is I’m well rounded in my field. I have worked from ages 15 up to 90. I have a passion for fitness and love sharing it with anyone. I strive to have anyone that works with me to not only achieve their fitness goal but to completely make it a lifestyle change. Bettering their health on a day to day basis. I know for a fact this is my career, I wake up looking forward to seeing my clients, to being able to train myself and to be able to share this passion.
Who have you been inspired by?
I personally don’t have someone in specific. But any woman that has been independent and has worked hard to get where they are. I started working when I was 15 and worked at a salon for many years. All the women I was surrounded including the owners who are women were always independent, hard-working, and driven. It showed me at a young age to be a strong, hard working woman I have become.
