Life and Work with Chelsea J. Rainey

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea J. Rainey.

Chelsea, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
As an ex-member of the corporate world in food & beverage, I realized what it was I truly loved about food — it’s ability to bring people together. I also realized the lack of individualized engagement opportunities for the small business owner within the corporate realm.

I started Culinistics to help people like you bring their dreams to life, and develop culinary brands that curate engagement through food. With Culinistics, I use my love for food and industry skills to help aspiring food business owners gain insight on their ideal customer, analyze their brand, develop a brand strategy, and showcase them with photography and web design.

Has it been a smooth road?
The road to entrepreneurship can be difficult at times, but truly rewarding in the end. During my entrepreneurial journey, I struggled with imposter syndrome and feeling doubt about the effectiveness of my service to the market. As a female entrepreneur (or aspiring entrepreneur) that’s just getting started, it’s incredibly important to execute with a confidence mindset – knowing that what you have to offer is necessary and vital to your audience, and sharing your offer shamelessly!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Culinistics – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
As a food consultant and founder of Culinistics, I work with aspiring and existing entrepreneurs in the food and beverage industry to erase doubt and provide strategic focus so they can finally feel inspired and educated to launch (or re-launch) their food or drink brand. We specialize in servicing our clients through one on one mentorship to assist them in curating a targeted brand story, with market research, photography, styling, and website design to innovate their signature offer launch strategy.

As a brand, I am proud that we focus not only on our clients but also on our surrounding community. In May of 2019, we launched a non-profit initiative benefitting the Lupus Foundation of America. Our Founder, Chelsea J. Rainey, was diagnosed with the auto-immune disease in 2009 and we use our platform to donate to the cause in hopes to find a cure.

Who have you been inspired by?
The most inspirational females in my life have been my mother. At a young age, I witnessed her begin her entrepreneurial journey and stood in awe at her ability to create something out of nothing. Having her as a role model, in both personal and professional roles, allowed me to realize that I can create opportunities for myself based on my passion and purpose, and I don’t need to wait on anyone’s approval to do so.
