Today we’d like to introduce you to Ciaara Hoffmann.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Growing up, I didn’t even know what an entrepreneur was. It was before the days of social media so it wasn’t something anyone ever talked about. So I followed the typical route of going to university and getting my degree. It wasn’t until after I graduated where I realized – okay, now, how am I going to pay for all these student loans? And at that time, starting my own business was the only thing that made sense. I wanted to be able to control how much I could earn, and not be limited by an hourly wage.
Has it been a smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road! I think entrepreneurship will always have its ups and downs. If you want to grow and build a successful, thriving business, then there will always be new challenges that pop up along the way. It just comes with the territory. Entrepreneurship isn’t for everyone!
My biggest struggle, which I think is like most people, is building up that client base in the beginning. My biggest piece of advice for anyone who’s just getting started is to give yourself at least two years of solid execution. If you find that perfect fit of something you are passionate about, and a product/service that clients want to have, then there’s no reason why you can’t succeed. Just stick around long enough to see it through and make sure you have supportive people around who encourage and inspire you.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I help millennials and young families by making their first home purchase feel easy and effortless. Real estate transactions can be complex, and that’s why it’s important to have a knowledgeable and proactive team that takes care of the all the stress for you – so you can focus on what’s important… Getting into the home of your dreams and enjoying it with your family.
Were there people and/or experiences you had in your childhood that you feel laid the foundation for your success?
Definitely. I feel everything I have done in life has set me up for this point. In my previous lifetimes, I worked as an online marketer, real estate assistant, and even a mortgage specialist. So I learned A LOT before coming into my current role, everything from finance to marketing and administration. All of these things contribute to what I know now and how I help my clients when selling or purchasing their home.
