Today we’d like to introduce you to Elisa Danielle Alves.
Elisa Danielle, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I went from unclear in my purpose, depressed, binge drinking and partying until 4 am to a spiritual leader and business owner. I had no idea I was going to manifest this much magic into my life.
I had graduated college but dreaded the thought of sitting behind a desk 9-5 with minimal flexibility. I had a job at a nightclub downtown post-grad and somehow managed to keep a day job as an office assistant helping students speak English as a second language.
I got into some bad habits of partying after breaking up with my boyfriend of five years and still grieving the loss of my father.
I felt like the world was spinning but I was at a standstill.
There were many days where I wish the pain I felt would have ended.
I couldn’t help but feel like I let down my younger self and was gonna be stuck doing a job I hated with no creative freedom behind a desk.
I figured something had to change so I quit drinking for 2 months and applied to a million other jobs. but the universe had something even better in store for me.
One night, I was sober at the nightclub and one of my friends I hadn’t seen for years texted me that she wanted to take her bf out to downtown San Diego for his birthday.
I got them into the night club I was working at and then she wanted me to come to hang out with them when I was done working.
I was so tired, sober and not wanting to be around alcohol. wanting to go home, but my intuition spoke to me and told me ” you haven’t seen her in years, go in for at least 30 minutes, get them some drinks show them a good time and then you can go.
I ended up chatting with my high school friend and she told me all about being a flight attendant, her adventures in the sky and how that her airline was hiring and that I’d be great and should I apply.
I immediately took her up on the offer. This was the sign I was looking for.
Freedom. Flexibility. Adventure.
I applied the next day.
On the way to the interview, my spirit guides spoke to me and said: “today is going to be the day your life changes.”
Anytime I got nervous or started to doubt myself I came back to this mantra.
I landed the job and moved to Alaska. I had grown up with a religious background but left the church after being unwelcome when I needed them the most.
It was in Alaska that I was so touched by the profound beauty that I couldn’t help but become awakened to life’s mysteries.
I started meditating, reading books like “The Power of Now”, watched The Secret and went on an inward journey.
A year and a half in I went on an “eat, pray, love” solo backpacking trip to SE Asia to really find myself. I was still grieving the passing of my father and an ex-boyfriend. I love my job as a flight attendant but felt like there was still so much more magic inside of me that was dyingggg to be expressed to the world.
While I was in SE Asia, my manifestation powers really kicked in. I manifested a work exchange teaching English in a village in Cambodia, the exact amount of money to get my yoga teacher 200-hour certification, + the rest of the money for the entire three months with savings left over, then a yoga work-trade teaching yoga with my own beachfront Bungalow where Elizabeth Gilbert stays. Not to mention the three months I took off work from my co-workers helping me out.
It was also there that I connected with my business coach, who I had no idea who she was just thought she was sending me information about Bali from a travel group on FB. But would be an essential part of me deciding to go all in and start my business.
I was laying on the beach letting it sink in all the magic that had happened, and the love and connection I had found within that I was overflowing with gratitude. I wanted everyone to feel this way and know that it’s more than a law of attraction, but a loving universe that wants to connect with you and give you all of your desires. You just have to let go of the limitations you place on yourself.
I wanted to stay in SE Asia, but I didn’t have my laptop and had a burning passion to start my own coaching business.
I had gone to school to become a therapist and have my degree in psychology but didn’t want to make myself in debt getting my masters. Looking back I realize that my future self was always paving the path and drawing me to her. To me, being a coach is more in alignment than being a therapist because I get to have the creativity, and flexibility I crave. It’s like the universe knew better than me all along.
The more I listened to these hints of intuition that weren’t always logical, they always turned out more magical.
I came back to San Diego, launched my program and here I am now with the most soul-aligned business and epic clients that I’m committed to holding them to their greatness and giving them the transformation their soul is craving.
I see my business more as my life’s work and mission than a business. To me, being a business owner with an online personal brand is more about the embodiment of my spiritual evolution and helping others who are on the same path.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It differently hasn’t been a smooth road.
I set an intention this past year to know myself as the limitless creator that I am, but I didn’t realize that meant I would have to come up against all of my limiting beliefs that kept me from that.
There were times I’ve wanted to quit — but hear my dad’s voice telling me you only quit if you give up.
That’s stuck with me the whole time. Anytime something isn’t working as easy as I’d hope, I think about all the amazing women I’ve gotten to work with and the transformations that wouldn’t have gotten if I didn’t show up in my unique magic that only I could have given to them. That’s what fuels me to keep going.
The advice I’d give to my younger self and anyone just starting this journey is that it’s truly about falling in love with the journey. It’s never about the destination, the business or the money. It’s about the evolution of your soul, finding your way home while helping others do the same.
Show up now as the way you are. You don’t need to be fully “healed” to help others. You’re already whole, abundant, worthy. You just have to tune your energy to those frequencies. It’s your imperfections that make you human, which is where magnetism lies. —
When I first started showing up online, it was nerve-wracking as sh!t to share my story.
Thoughts like “are people going to like me knowing this about me, who I am to take up space online.
But the funny thing is–the more I showed up as my weird, corky, authentic self the more I drew in my true soul fam and now have not only the best community of soul sista friends who get me to my core — but the most epic clients who are drawn to me because of showing up as my true self.
Allow yourself to take up space. You have unique magic within that only you can give to the world. See yourself as the radiant leader that you are. Love yourself enough to live out your wildest dreams.
What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of? What sets you apart from others?
I am a Manifestation + Mindset mentor helping women stop self-sabotaging, so they can embody their inner magic and live out their wildest dreams.
In my 12 week program, we cover manifesting money, relationships, but my specialty is helping babes connect with their authentic self and universe so they can live a life in purpose.
What sets me apart from others is that I consider myself (my clients have also said) more of a healer. I get to the root cause of what’s holding you back and teach you how to be with all your emotions not just the pretty “high vibe unicorn fairy ones” (even though I’m totally a unicorn). Your body is the subconscious mind and in order to create a new reality, you have to shift your programs from a somatic place. I give my clients the science behind manifestation, it’s way more than this woo woo stuff where you put your crystals in a grid and hope for the best. I shift my client’s energy and give them the tools to let go of past programs that is keeping them living in the past rather than as their future self who has everything she’s desiring.
I’m most proud of my brand because of this. There’s a lot of talk in the law of attraction communities of “just be high vibe all the time” which isn’t real. When you do this you actually decrease your manifestation powers because you split your energy. Half of you is upset, the other half is trying to just slap an affirmation over the pain and then your fighting yourself trying to be happy when the other part of you is dying to feel the emotion.
I help my clients learn to integrate all their shadow selves not just the fun butterfly ones and manifest from a place of wholeness. I help my clients learn to love the ascension just as much as the decision and enjoy the full spectrum of their human experience.
Were there people and/or experiences you had in your childhood that you feel laid the foundation for your success?
Yes, as painful as it was to have my father pass away, I have found so much purpose in my pain.
I believe the greatest gift you can give the people you love is to live out your full potential. Living in my authenticity and fallowing my highest excitement (even when it’s been scary) is the best way I know to honor my father.
Seeing death at such as young age made me question everything, and want to have every humanly experience possible (both the good and bad) and to truly play this game of life full out.
It’s given me a new profound zest for life and an appreciation for every moment. It’s given me the power and tenacity to go after my dreams knowing how finite our time here on earth is.
I’ve always felt like my intuition was guiding me to where I am now, and when I look back on my life everything was always happening for me.
