Today we’d like to introduce you to Johanna Godinez.
Johanna, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
With an MBA in Management and BS in Marketing, I am a Business Woman by Education; Lifestyle and Wellness Educator by Passion; Coach and Speaker by Trade. My name is Johanna Godinez and I’m considered by many to be their personal assistant for life! With one purpose and goal in mind, I help individuals and their families be healthy and happy in their bodies and successful in all areas of their lives.
Loving yourself is not about what you look like or the problems you have. It is about accepting your challenges, building your will power and learning to make the best out of the situation that life faces you with.
Through our proven life mapping process, we can develop awareness and determine the tools needed to truly appreciate the journey of life, take control of the path you lead and take care of your body throughout any season of your life. Our approach focuses on building a life map in which we take into account the eight factors of human health and how they relate specifically to your life. The aim is to help you gain awareness of your current state and help you obtain the life you desire.
With 12 years of experience, I am always inspired by the changes humans are capable of creating when they become empowered.
My journey was triggered by a phase of depression late 2007/early 2008 that led me to discover that the corporate world was not my true path and that helping people and serving was my true destiny. I educated myself in nutrition, habit improvement, as well as, health and fitness coaching, in order to offer the most comprehensive solutions I could to help people improve their wellness. It wasn’t until 2011 that I had a revelation, health is not just your body and lifestyle, it is your finances, your mental attitude, your relationships, your spirituality, and so much more. I was only helping in some areas, but neglecting others. As I learned what the true concerns of my clients were, I understood that happiness, or lack thereof, depends on the factors that affect overall human health. Thats where the idea of Life and Style Coaches began and that has driven our direction ever since.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has definitely been a bumpy road, especially as growth set in and the realization that I couldn’t do it all alone. As an only child with a high level of independence, my to go attitude was “I can do this no matter what”. As I dug deeper into the issues that clients were struggling with, I realized some of them were so far out of my expertise that without someone who could offer that, I would not be able to help.
The more clients I received, the more the issues began to vary and as such the team continued to grow to become what it is today.

As a coach, I am like a personal assistant in people’s lives. I help them develop personal and business goals, determine the health and alignment of their lives or their business and help clients remain accountable for the implementation and success of their goals.
What we are most proud of is our ability to help individuals recognize their own potential and step outside their comfort zones to truly create the life they desire to live.
Do you think there are structural or other barriers impeding the emergence of more female leaders?
This is a tricky question for me. I have an opinion about this that is often unpopular but remains none the less. Men tend to shake each other’s hands and help each other up. They are more likely to collaborate in order to grow. Although women are improving this, at times, we tend to default to competition instead of collaboration and therefore end up creating barriers for ourselves.
