Life and Work with Kayla Wright

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayla Wright.

So, before we jump into specific questions about what you do, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I suffered through many hardships throughout my young adult life including drug addiction and self-sabotage. Enduring these life situations forced me to focus on self-healing, growth, and transmutation. I found yoga, spirituality, and fitness which completely transformed my connection to myself and my soul. I am now a personal trainer, yogi, avid hiker, vegan, and advocate for spiritual health and wellness. I couldn’t be happier or healthier and I am so grateful for it ALL, especially the “negative” situations for they are lessons.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been easy but it has been worth it. The struggle is real! My advice- you are worthy, you are loved, and you are worth it. Don’t compare yourself to other people. Focus on one step at a time and baby steps are still steps. Love yourself above all, it is not selfish- it is necessary. The most intimate relationship you will ever have is with yourself, know thyself. Be present, be here now. Meditation and affirmations are your friends, they will change your life, I am a walking example. ALWAYS manifest from the heart and exude gratitude, it will attract more things to be grateful for.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Holistic Fitness – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I am a personal trainer at Leo’s Fitness Lab in Oldtown, San Diego. I have also created my own brand- holistic fitness and will be rolling out an info app in the next few months revolving around holistic health- including yoga, lifting, hiit, and more! I focus on healing the mind, body, AND spirit.

Were there people and/or experiences you had in your childhood that you feel laid the foundation for your success?
Yes! I had to learn the hard way to love myself enough to make my health, healing, and lifestyle choices a priority- and you can too. These experiences fueled my compassion and passion for all the wonderful things I value in my life, in this now.
