Thanks for sharing your story with us Sara. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’ve always loved art. Any kind of art. I used to draw and paint as a teen. But when it came time to make a career out of it, I decided to become a cosmetologist. I went to beauty school, graduated and became licensed.
I started with cut and color. It wasn’t something I LOVED, I did enjoy it but wasn’t I passionate about it. One day a friend asked if I would do her hair and makeup for her wedding and I warned her that it wasn’t my specialty. She insisted I do it anyway, so I did. Let me tell you, it was the SCARIEST thing I’ve ever done. Doing someone’s hair and makeup for their wedding day is NO joke or a walk in the park. I could not sleep the night before the wedding, I was so nervous about being done on time, bridesmaid liking their hair, etc.
Everything turned out ok, and the day came to an end. When I got past the fear of the whole day, I felt lots of joy and satisfaction out of what I had done and decided I would specialize in bridal beauty. Which is what I am now… A Bridal Specialist.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been a smooth road. Things don’t come easy. Behind experience, there’s failure. Just know that it’s ok to fail sometimes… it means you’re tired, step out of your comfort zone and fear of change! Once you conquer your fear…. nothing will stop you.

I specialize in Bridal Hair and Makeup, but mostly hair. I’m known for doing both equally well. There aren’t many artists out there that can do both, and that’s something that sets me aside from others. I’m also known for being a perfectionist… especially when it comes to my brides looking perfect on their wedding date.
