My business started because I fell in love with the fit comfort and style of my supplier’s brand. I’m a stay at home wife and mom with five kids with one more on the way. I needed a flexible schedule and have always loved simple go-to styles that anyone could pull off. I’m fun and quirky and enjoy letting my personality shine in my business.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
When I started my boutique, I was the new girl in town. Living in Ramona, I needed to get the word out that I was here BUT five kids and their needs made word of mouth a challenge! I KNEW this would be a challenge and am constantly collaborating with other boutique owners to find solutions and ideas. I LOVE vendor events! It’s so much fun connecting in the community!

I LOVE that as a small business owner, I have a bigger opportunity to give back and bless the community through fundraising efforts.
On the fashion side of things. I love being a personal shopper for my customers! If I don’t have it, I find it. That’s my goal! I LOVE serving!
Often it feels as if the media, by and large, is only focused on the obstacles faced by women, but we feel it’s important to also look for the opportunities. In your view, are there opportunities that you see that women are particularly well-positioned for?
Great question! I’m so inspired by all of the amazing mom-trepreneurs that I have met along the way! The ones who put the littles to bed and stay up an extra 3-4 hours while they work their business, surviving on coffee and cuddles. The true Proverbs 31 women that live it out daily with grit and grace.
