I’ve gotten to where I’m am today by never giving up. I’ve overcome many obstacles trying to achieve things in life, only to realize that at the end of an obstacle is the beginning of an opportunity.
Has it been a smooth road?
I would say keep pushing yourself, keep true to your ideas and keep putting in the work. On every journey, there’re always obstacles in the road to achievement and some are greater than others. I personally have experienced many ups and downs throughout life and business which constantly fuels my determination to succeed. At the end of the day, my advice would be to never give up on your ideas. If you don’t believe in them, who will!

Hairgolightly specializes in luxury hair goods. Best known for extensions, customized wigs and hair pieces. What I am most proud of is the feedback and satisfaction of my customers. What sets me apart from others is quality, uniqueness, and personalized offerings.
Were there people and/or experiences you had in your childhood that you feel laid the foundation for your success?
Growing up in a family of mostly women, I have always been inspired by women in business. Watching successful business women growing up had a profound effect on my desire to be a business. As far back as I can remember, I wanted to own my company.
What do you feel are the biggest barriers today to female leadership, in your industry or generally?
I’m lucky enough to be part of of an industry that is very empowering for women in leadership. I think one of the biggest barriers to women in leadership roles in other areas of business is being labeled or categorized by our gender instead of work ethic, capabilities or skill.
