Today we’d like to introduce you to Andy Chavarria.
Andy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started out as a construction worker and was preparing to open my own construction-rental business — I even earned my contractor’s license. But during that time, my wife was beginning her entrepreneurship journey in the brow industry, and I made the decision to pause my own project and join her so we could build something together.
We began with a small room in Tijuana, Mexico, and eventually expanded into San Diego. I officially joined her in 2017, and from there our business evolved step by step — from offering procedures, to teaching, to creating an online education platform, an online store, and a coaching program for new artists.
Today, a big part of how we got to where we are is by consistently reinvesting into our community. We now operate a 10,000-square-foot space with 19 private studios that we lease at below-market prices to help new artists and entrepreneurs launch their businesses without the heavy financial burden.
I’m here today because every stage — from construction to PMU — has taught me to take risks, adapt, and build with purpose. Growing alongside my wife, focusing on education, and helping others succeed is what ultimately shaped the path that brought me to where I am now.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. In the beginning, we were working out of a small room in Tijuana with very limited resources. We had to learn how to build a brand from zero, attract clients, and develop our skills while figuring out how to navigate a new and fast-growing industry.
Expanding into San Diego came with new challenges — higher costs, a different market, and the pressure to prove ourselves. As our business grew, so did the responsibilities. Moving from just doing procedures to teaching, mentoring, running an online education platform, managing an online store, and supporting new artists through coaching pushed us to constantly evolve.
One of the biggest challenges was scaling. Operating a 10,000-square-foot space with 19 studios meant learning how to lead, manage tenants, and create an environment that supports new entrepreneurs while still maintaining the quality of our own work.
Every stage tested us in different ways, but each challenge helped us grow stronger, more focused, and more committed to serving our community.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
In the PMU industry, my wife and I work as a team. We’re both artists and educators, and together we’ve built a support system for new artists looking to grow in this field. I specialize in eyebrow techniques and education, and I’m proud to be a 2025 USA and Mexico Champion. Cinthia leads the business and coaching side, and she’s a graduate of the LBAN Stanford School of Business program, which brings strategy and structure into everything we do.
What we’re most proud of is the impact we’ve had through education. Teaching has become a huge part of our purpose — seeing students gain confidence, strengthen their skills, and build careers they never thought possible is what drives us. Through our trainings, online courses, mentorship, and business coaching, we focus on keeping the learning experience simple, honest, and truly supportive.
What sets us apart is our commitment to long-term success. We don’t just teach techniques — we stay involved, guide artists through their growth, and provide resources that help them launch and sustain their businesses. Our work is rooted in community, transparency, and genuinely wanting people to succeed.
How do you define success?
For both of us, success goes beyond career achievements. We define success as living in peace, having financial stability, staying healthy, and being genuinely happy with the life we’re building. But at the core of it, success is also about helping people.
When we see the artists we teach grow, gain confidence, and create better lives for themselves, that feels like success to us. Knowing that our work has a positive impact — while also giving our family peace, stability, and joy — is what truly matters.
Success, for us, is a balance of purpose, well-being, and the ability to uplift others along the way.
