Hi ArmonieJAY, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
When I was 5, I had a Christmas play that I sung in. Singing in this play brought my family together under one roof, and that meant a lot to me. To see that my voice could bring people together sparked something in me. Over time I found opportunities to do what I loved to do, sing. Third-grade talent show, singing over the intercom in the 4th grade, 6th-grade play, 8th-grade talent show, and the list goes on. I slowly involved myself in all things music as I took the time to build my confidence. Once I turned 19, I decided to really take my music career seriously. Funded everything on my own and just dedicated myself to my craft. I’ve gone through a lot of ups and downs, but I’m grateful for the journey I’m on.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My dad always told me the road I’m taking will be a longer road than others because I always wanted to do things the right way. I didn’t want to date or flirt my way to the top; I just want my talent to speak for itself. God put this gift in me, and I couldn’t run from it if I wanted to. I’ve been making music for 5 years now, and throughout the years, I’ve had opportunities taken from me because I wasn’t the “fun” girl these people were looking for. At first, it use to crush me because I’ve always dedicated myself to what I do, so for people to look at me and think that all I am is a pretty face sucked. Then I realized that the opportunities I thought I lost were not opportunities for me at all, and nothing/no one can stop God’s plan for me. Ups and downs come with this business; I can make it look good, but I have my struggles as well. I’m just here to be living proof that you can push through anything and make it out on top no matter what.

I am a singer/songwriter and entrepreneur. I create music and vibes all around. I’ve been songwriting for about 5 years now, and I’m currently just working on my craft to get better and better. Some of my favorites are “Worthy,” “On Your Way,” and my most recent single, “What Do You Want.” I also have a clothing brand, “WorthybyArmonieJAY” which came about in 2020. I’m just proud of me and grateful for this journey I’m on. I know I’m different from other because I’m just me.
