Today we’d like to introduce you to Briana Gallardo.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am a Content Creator based out of San Diego who loves to take pictures and videos of food, experiences, and bits of my life. I was out at dinner with my sisters and cousin when I created a video for fun, of our dinner. I posted it and the restaurant asked if I was interested in coming back for a sponsored meal and from there it was history! This opportunity opened my eyes to the world of social media and all the opportunities it can provide. I then got hired by Locale Magazine to create some content on projects they were featuring in San Diego. Then I started to promote my own social media page and began to get incredible partnerships with sponsored staycations at the Hyatt, trips to Catalina Island, Mother-Daughter campaign with Tampax, brand ambassador with Orangetheory Fitness! The best part of all these sponsored dinners/ media events is sharing it with a family member or friend! I love to bring my Mom along, because I love spoiling her! My Mom, Alma, has always encouraged me to follow my dreams and she has always spoiled us our whole lives and now it’s time to spoil her. We have gone out to many dinners, hotel stays, spas, and she is always so happy to be my plus 1. She is so patient and helpful with all of my videos! My sisters, boyfriend, and friends have also been able to enjoy the perks! God has blessed me with so many opportunities, I am so grateful!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Thankfully it has been pretty smooth with partnerships. However, I did have to lessen the load of going to a lot of dinner collaborations because I noticed it was getting very unhealthy. I began to get some acne (which was unusual for me) so I knew I had to cut back on the eating out. I have been more mindful now in which partnerships I commit to. In addition, I make sure to get my workouts in and balance eating out.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Content Creator – I am most proud of getting comfortable in front of the camera and being myself. Capturing all the fun moments and memories. I appreciate all the details in a dinner, staycation, and views in San Diego. I am proud that I have my MBA (Masters of Business Administration) and am able to use my degree in creating my own business. I network, create the content, edit, invoices, and everything in between.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I love San Diego so much, but surprisingly I went to school in the East Coast for college. I went to Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia with my two sisters. I was a cheerleader and in a sorority throughout college.
