Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Thornburg.
Eric, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
With no prior knowledge of music, I stumbled upon an electronic music documentary on Netflix, and after watching it, I immediately fell in love with the culture of EDM. With nothing interest and curiosity the next day, I went and purchased my first MIDI controller and Ableton and began dedicating all my time to learning the craft of creating music. After a few months of self-teaching, I knew that I wanted to pursue music more seriously and enrolled and was accepted to the Icon Collective School of Music’s online program. After completing the program in 1 year and being nominated for student of the year, I made the move to Los Angeles to continue to pursue my passion for music. 5 years later, I have played in premier clubs in cities such as Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas & Orlando as well as took the stage of major festivals from Florida to California as well as have created my own house music record label/collective the Boat House.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Attending and completing Icon Collective Music School online from Kansas, Moving across the country from Kansas to Los Angeles to pursue music, Starting/Establishing my own music label/collective to provide an outlet for my music as well as my peers

I am an electronic music producer & Dj, creating a unique lane of my own within the house music community. With a range of influences from 90s hip hop to early 2000s electro, I blend all styles to not only my production but also my live performances allowing myself to reach both new and old school audiences. With releases on many top electronic music labels, I look to continue to not only grow and expand my brand but to create both a recognizable yet unique sound that can be enjoyed by all.

Founder/Curator of house music collective and label the Boat House. Have played stages on major festivals such as EDC Orlando, Hard Summer & Escape Physco Circus, released on top music labels such as Confession, Thrive Music & Circus Records
