Today we’d like to introduce you to Irma Gastelum.
Hi Irma, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My 20s have really been a time for truly finding myself, what my passions are and what doesn’t align with me. Allowing myself the ability to do those things have gotten me today to a place where Im able to do what I love. Being online has allowed me the ability to promote my life insurance business to now show casing my personal life and building an online presence, that is now opening doors to so much more . Social media has always been something that caught my attention and have loved but I didn’t start taking it serious until I started promoting my life insurance business. I saw how I could really use social media as a tool to connect with more people I wasn’t maybe seeing face to face. That’s when i started to take my content more serious because i wanted people to see quality content. And that’s where it sparked a passion… I loved capturing the perfect shot for my video and getting the right angle. It ignited me! Now I’m really beginning to find my place online and starting to put myself out there more, not just with reels but I launched my own podcast last year.Called Let’s Talk About it with Irma Gastelum on apple & spotify. It’s a place where moms, young moms, single moms or women can come and not feel so alone going thru this crazy life by hearing about the things I face and how I over come them while having God by my side.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Looking back at every challenge that happened I can now understand that those things had to happen to get me to where I am now. Sometimes you’re set on a certain career path but the obstacles that lead you to redirect your path end up leading you to exactly where you’re meant to be.
If I didn’t have a horrible manager and hostile work environment maybe I’d never would’ve taken the jump to leave cooperate America.

Ive been a licensed Life Insurance Agent now for four years and truly have seen that there is such a

Leaving my job in cooperate America was scary but I’ve realized that there’s more out there and that I didn’t have to stay complacent for the rest of my life. If I wouldn’t have taken a risk and left my Job I wouldn’t be where I am now. I haven’t reached my final destination just yet but I have so much more peace than compared to dealing with a toxic work environment and management. I don’t have to wake up anymore with crippling anxiety due to my manager and now have created a life I love to wake up to. If I never left my job and took a risk I’d still be hating my current situation.
