Life & Work with Joe Hippensteel of RANCHO SANTA FE

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joe Hippensteel.

Hi Joe, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was a young, small passionate athlete that had big dreams. I did multiple sports in high school and two sports in college. I went to a small division 3 college in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. I then transferred to a Division 1 college, Fresno State in California. I focused on the decathlon (10 events in track and field ) and achieved all American (top 8 in NCAA finals). Then I set a goal to try to make the Olympic team.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There were many obstacles. I did not have the size, strength or speed to compete against the much larger decathletes. So I trained longer and harder for many years to reach my goals. I never made it to the Olympics, but I developed training methods that were more advanced than anything in the world.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

I am a Physio/Kinesiologist. My training methods have now become the standard for medical and athletic pain and injury rehab. This method eliminates severe injuries including migraines, arthritis, tendonitis, bursitis, bulging disks, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, fibromyalgia and many more ailments. This method works for athletes and non athletes everywhere .

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
The biggest risk all along was to try to reach a goal that high without having the genetics to help me to get there. I’m 5′ 8″ tall and 1.60 pounds. The average world class decathlete is 6′ 2″ tall and 185 pounds.
So, it was an almost impossible situation from the start. I accepted the risk. Then, as I developed my training methods, I found a miraculous formula to eliminate pain and injury and teach advanced training methods. Then the risk was to try to educate the medical and athletic worlds that these methods are more advanced than theirs. That was an uphill battle and still persists to this day. Although now we have 13 thousand clients in 59 countries that prove that our method works. We now work with the USA NAVY SEALs, pro athletes and non athletes alike.
