Today we’d like to introduce you to Katrina Panza.
Hi Katrina, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I was a single mom of 3 children until 2014 when I had my 4th child. I worked at Mcdonalds’ for 14 years making under $12.00 an hour as a shift manager my whole career. The only time I got a raise was when the law changed. I put myself through vocational school learning new trades like medical assisting and medical billing at the same time working full time. Graduated and still didn’t leave Mcdonalds’ because of fear. What got me out of that fear was my oldest daughter being diagnosed with liver disease, so I decided to put myself through nursing school. I became a certified nurse assistant first and went to school to do the necessary prerequisites to get into a nursing program. Here in California, it is very competitive to get into nursing programs. Five years later as a CNA and watching my daughter get put to sleep more than five times, I decided to become an Anesthesiologist, So I enrolled with Grand Canyon University to get my journey started. I’m still a student till this day. I work as a hospice nurse in a assisted living facility. Since I have been into healthcare and have seen a lot of death, I know how important family is. I wanted to be able to spend more time with my family, so I came across a lady name Tina Payne on the internet. She referred to herself as a coach and mentor helping nurses sell medical uniform scrubs from home online. I signed up with her program in 2019 and I didn’t make an investment back until this year. I started selling the scrubs from my trunk and at work. I eventually was able to get international contracts to sell the uniform scrubs. I was able to scale my business to 7- figures plus. The name of my scrub company is called Queenz Medical Scrubs LLC. I have not had an official launch yet; I plan to have my online store up and running 2023
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road; I didn’t have funding to get started and my credit was not always the greatest.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m currently a hospice nurse. Something new that I am known for is mentoring and coaching others to scale their business. I am most proud of myself not giving up. What sets me apart from others is that I don’t make excuses.
What does success mean to you?
Being able to accomplish everything that I have ever dreamed of.
