Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristle Jones
Hi Kristle, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve been passionate about the hair and beauty industry for over 20 years, starting my career at the age of 19. My journey began with a brief stint at college (where I met my now husband), but I quickly realized that my heart was set on pursuing a creative an impactful career in hair. Since then, I’ve explored every facet of the industry, from sales to education and even contributing articles to national publications.
Growing up, I struggled with feeling confident, and this has been a driving force in my work. There’s no greater reward than helping women leave the salon feeling beautiful and self-assured. This sense of purpose inspired me not only to create a welcoming, luxury salon experience but also to invest in the next generation of beauty professionals.
As a mentor and coach, I guide aspiring stylists through the steps I’ve used to create success in this industry. My goal is to show them that the hair and beauty world isn’t just a job, it’s a fulfilling career filled with opportunities to grow, innovate and make a lasting impact on others.
Today, I am proud to blend my passion for artistry, education and mentorship to elevate both my clients and the future of this incredible industry.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like anything worth pursuing, it has been quite the ride. I opened my first salon in March 2020 (although we weren’t able to open the doors for the first time until June 2020). That was, what they call, baptism by fire. I am so happy that I persisted in my goal though because I opened my second salon a couple years later in my hometown of San Clemente. In that 5 years, I have experienced some incredible struggles from closing my first salon to seeing great stylists leave our salon and the industry. I’m so thankful I sit where I do today. We have a fantastic team of some of the most talented stylists in Southern California and we are thriving in our San Clemente location.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am the owner of a salon that blends elevated luxury with the relaxed, approachable vibe of coastal living. We are passionate about creating a space where our guests feel pampered and leave feeling their most confident.
As a stylist and mentor with over two decades of experience, I specialize in bringing out each guests best self while ensuring they leave feeling their absolute best ever. Beyond working behind the chair, I am deeply committed to mentoring and educating the next generation of beauty professionals, helping them find success in this dynamic industry.
Our salon is known for it’s expertise in:
Hair Extensions: We create seamless, natural-looking results tailored to each guests lifestyle and needs.
Lived-In Color & Blonding: Whether it’s a sun-kissed balayage or icy platinum, we focus on dimensional low-maintenance looks that grow out beautifully.
Specialty Blonding & Color: From customized corrections to vibrant transformations, we ensure each color complements the individual.
What we are known for: We are celebrated for being more than just a salon, we are a coastal haven where clients can relax, recharge and leave feeling renewed. Our team is recognized for it’s personalized attention to detail, creating styles that combine modern trends with tried-and-true techniques. Additionally, our teams commitment to education, both for our guests and our staff, sets us apart as leaders in the industry.
I am most proud of our team being an integral part of our community.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Don’t be afraid to reach out to potential mentors via email or DM on social media. I have seen an uptick in student stylists reaching out and asking our salon for shadow days, which I highly encourage. It’s a great way to see what it looks like to work in the salon on a day-to-day basis and it sets you up to have that network within the salon when you graduate. I love connecting with other salon owners, stylists and students. It’s a small industry and it’s great to know some of the leaders in it.
