Life & Work with Lauren Fiandor of Temecula, CA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Fiandor.

Hi Lauren, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for my adopted daughter, Holli. Two years ago she started playing volleyball and that’s when our two loves collided. I started capturing her 11U team and the rest is history, they went on to become season champions and NEVER MISS PICS was created.
I love supporting girls and other women; I love showing them ANYTHING is possible. Sometimes our greatest moments get lost or forgotten, we are often our most harshest critics.. but my work, doesn’t allow that to happen.

I love what I do… I love pausing some of the most jaw dropping moments & highlighting just how unstoppable athletes are, no matter the storm, loss and defeat. No matter the level, recreation to club to college to the pros.
It IS POSSIBLE. You can and you will if you believe.

I started out as “just a mom”, but I think that’s what makes it special, what makes NEVER MISS PICS different. I’m the biggest cheerleader, I know the dreams each of these athletes have and the sacrifices it took to get there. I’m honored to be able to capture that champion within and give them a glimpse of the greatness I get to witness on the sidelines.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Just like most small businesses, it’s not easy. There are countless late night hours and a lot that doesn’t get noticed that goes on behind the scenes. Sacrificing personal time to push your dream to where you know it’s destined to be. Again, that’s why my understanding & appreciation for an athlete is deep; they feel that same pressure, the same sacrifice and that same devotion. It’s an unexplainable love you have to have in order to keep pushing through the struggles & obstacles. It’s about adjusting, resetting and overcoming, knowing it’s only meant to make you greater.
There will always be challenges, doubt and some will even hate, but the ones that get it GET IT… And those are the ones you should surround yourself with.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a woman owned & operated business. I’m a full time mom and full time photographer/ videographer. I specialize in sports at all levels.
I’m known for my Instagram and the video reels I create for athletes, clubs, colleges and recently San Diego Mojo.
My children are what I’m most proud of. I see their same dreams in every athlete I capture. I see their dreams come alive, firsthand, when I step on the sidelines of a college or pro game.
The inspiration is unlike anything I’ve felt.
In a time when women sports is growing with such a force, to be one of the few women on the sidelines is an honor, privilege and makes me want to work even harder to open more opportunities for all the girls with BIG dreams.
What sets me apart is the motivation and love behind my work. Nobody does it like a proud mama bear.. the ultimate HYPE MOM, #1 FAN.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
There are many risks in small business. There’s a level of trust that you have to have in yourself, because like any game there will be some losses and plenty of lessons will be learned, each with a purpose.
Integrity and staying true to your goals is crucial.
Without certain risk and sacrifice, there’s no reward.
