Today we’d like to introduce you to Manorack Sukhaseum
Hi Manorack, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started out taking photos of my high school’s tennis team in my junior year and I instantly fell in love with photography capturing split second moments and all the action that comes along with it. Coming into my senior year. I reached out to the football coach to ask if I can take photos for homecoming game, and ever since then I have never looked back covering high school sports and later moving onto junior college sports, club organizations, and weddings.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth ride, coming out of high school in 2020 during covid since most of the world was still on lock down there wasn’t much sports being played, weddings being held, etc I just felt like my momentum I had just suddenly halted and I didn’t know what to do. As time progressed and more and more events start opening up I felt like I had to start all over trying to build my base back up.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I started out photographing high school sports such as football, soccer, and lacrosse and that kinda became my speciality. As my interest kept increasing I started to dive into portraits, weddings, and live event coverage. I am more known for sports action photos. I am most proud of the all the action photos and all the once in a life time moments I am able to capture. What sets me apart from others is that I strive to not only capture the action right in front of me but all of the little moments like coaches celebrating, parents cheering and crying in the stands and really capture peoples raw reactions. And I feel like that sets me apart from others.
