Life & Work with Robert Rono

Today we’d like to introduce you to Robert Rono.

Robert Rono

Hi Robert, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I never thought my life would be this exciting. My family moved from Iraq to a new country so we could have better schools and jobs. Learning a new culture and language was tough, but we never gave up on our dreams. Now, I’m a realtor, helping people find the perfect homes. It’s not just a job to me; it’s something I love doing every day. At the same time, I’m studying global business management to take my career to places like America and Dubai.

I’ve learned that I’m not just selling houses; I’m connecting people and dreams across the world. My dream is to be a big player in real estate, making important deals that go beyond borders.

The road ahead is both exciting and challenging, but I never lose sight of my dreams. I see every challenge as a chance to learn and get better. I believe that if you work hard and dream big, you can achieve anything.

America and Dubai aren’t just spots on a map; they’re where I’m making my dreams come true. Every day gets me closer to having a career that inspires others. My journey isn’t just about reaching a goal; it’s about sharing a story that shows anyone can do something amazing with just one brave step. I hope my story encourages others to dream big, work hard, and face challenges with a smile. Because the best adventures start with that first courageous step.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Getting from Iraq to America and becoming a realtor while studying global business management wasn’t always a smooth ride. The first big challenge was moving to a new country. Learning a new culture and language took time, and we had to be patient and strong as a family.

Being a realtor came with its own difficulties. Real estate is a tough and ever-changing world. I had to learn a lot, from understanding the market to finding clients. It wasn’t easy, but I kept at it, and each challenge taught me something new.

Studying global business management at the same time added another layer of complexity. Balancing school with work as a realtor was hard. I had to manage my time well and stay focused on my goals.

Looking back, the road was bumpy, but those bumps made me stronger. Every challenge was like a steppingstone, helping me move forward on this incredible journey from Iraq to America, becoming a realtor, learning about global business management, and more.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I work as a realtor, which means I help people buy and sell homes. It’s like being a matchmaker for houses! I specialize in understanding what people want in a home and finding the perfect match for them. What sets me apart is that I’m not just about selling houses. I focus on making sure people find a home where they’re happy. I take the time to listen to what they need and help them through the whole process. I’m proud that I’ve been able to help many people find homes they love. It’s not just a job for me; it’s about making dreams come true. I think what makes me special is my dedication to understanding my clients and going the extra mile to make sure they’re happy with their new home. In a world where everyone is busy, I take the time to care and make a difference in people’s lives. That’s what I’m most proud of, knowing I’ve played a part in creating homes where families can make memories and be happy.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Starting without a mentor, I learned everything by trying and sometimes failing. Making connections and networking on my own taught me valuable lessons. Each time things didn’t go as planned, I saw it as a chance to grow. Building relationships without someone guiding me made me strong and determined. It might have been tough, but it made me who I am. I believe in the power of facing challenges with a determined spirit. I’ve learned that even without a roadmap, we can shape our own success story by staying persistent and never giving up.
