Life & Work with Temmy Duong and Ben Hoang of San Diego

Today we’d like to introduce you to Temmy Duong and Ben Hoang .

Temmy Duong and Ben Hoang

Hi Temmy Duong and Ben Hoang, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
We were both just working our normal day jobs and doing life together, saving up as much money as we could because we always knew we wanted something of our own.

Ben was a firefighter and Temmy did lashes and we both knew we weren’t shy of hard work but we were just waiting for the right opportunity to push our passion into a business of our own.

It came from an idea of doing eyebrows for cancer survivors, a cause that is still near and dear to our heart.

As with any other business owners, we just decided to take the plunge and take action. Planning was only going to get us so far. We made the arrangements in order to set us up for the studio, took training in our craft, marketing, and sales, & customer service.

It was nice to have both our backgrounds, we feel as though our history helps complement each other and the business.

Everything else was just magic and timing. We just strive to maintain our standard and quality of service and let our work represent who we are and what we stand for.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Oh no, it’s never a smooth road. Plans never go according to plan, it’s all about managing expectations.

We live in such a fast pace world nowadays that everybody and everything has to be “Go, go, go!”
We often have to remind ourselves of the infancy of our business and the need to slow down at times, we’re here for the long haul and the long haul means maintaining what we believe should be a standard of high quality service.

As with everything, we welcome challenge with open arms because at the end of the day, it just helps build us and the business into the best version we can be and strive for.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We specialize in permanent brow makeup. We’re known for the quality of our powder and nano brows. These are just different variations of services you can get done on your brows.

What sets us apart from others is our quality, design, and service. Temmy has flown and trained with the top artists around the world in order to perfect her style. That’s the high quality we aim for for every set, and refuse to accept anything lower.

We typically only accept two clients per day to maintain the quality of our product.

We’re passionate about our work with cancer survivors and we are proud of the brand we are building. There is a lot of pride, integrity, and a dedication to excellence that fuels the both of us.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something surprising about our work that you may not know is that Temmy has done training across the USA and in Asia to achieve the high quality brows we provide, each and every time.

We stand by only booking two clients per day. Ben takes care of all the background aspects of the business, all Temmy has to worry about is making sure she nails your brows each and every time.
