Meet Aaron De La Torre of Talent Tower Music/TTM Studio SD in Chula Vista

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron De La Torre.

Aaron, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Originally this company was founded for the sole purpose of managing a well known Regional Mexican Music band called ‘ Los De Guamuchil” in late 2018 under the corporation name “LDG Music Corp”. The studio was first built in a small 7ft x 10ft office to record the new music that we were going to release, instead of traveling to Mexico as we usually did. Being in the industry for about seven years really helped me network with a lot of musicians and grow some very strong social media profiles that helped spread the word that LDG was now recording from their hometown. Within the first month of opening the small studio, we recorded and launched some new music to the public and a lot of the followers started asking about our studio. Soon after that, I started getting messages about some new bands wanting to record some music, at that point, I knew that we had something good in our hands.

Eventually, I decided to go full throttle with the studio and start a full-on record label by the name of “Talent Tower Music” with a good buddy of mines Juan Carlos Rodriguez. With his 20+ years in the Music Industry and my skillset in production, graphic designs, and music background, we have really become a hell of a team. Why the name Talent Tower Music? Simple, I am a big fan of Talent, my last name is De La Torre which translates to “From the Tower” and Music is my passion.

Since March of 2019 as a Record Label, we have developed over five new artists with thousands of streams and listeners on all Music Platforms. Created full on releases for over 30 different artists, and really have put San Diego on the Music Industry map. As a Recording Studio, we have grown tremendously. We went from being in a small office to a full-on recording studio space. This past year alone we worked on over 100 songs and we are hoping to triple that number this 2020. The studio name stuck as “TTM Studio SD” since we operate both record labels and studio in the same place, although I manage the studio more personally under the Instagram profile (@producedbyaaron).

Has it been a smooth road?
Not at all! As every business, at first, it’s all investments and dedicating a lot of time. There have been sleepless nights, months where we don’t know if we where gonna make rent, and a lot of trial and error. Specially trying to give every new song recording/release the attention it deserves can really be overwhelming sometimes but, we love what we do and have a passion for it that keeps us going!

Please tell us about Talent Tower Music/TTM Studio SD.
Talent Tower Music/TTM Studio SD is a full-on Production house honestly. We provide an artist the option of taking their music from A-Z. We offer recording services, graphic design work, Creative Direction, distribution, publishing, management, video services, and more than anything Guidance. All this without the need to sign their music rights away. We specialize in the Regional Mexican Music genre and are looking to expand into other genres as well.

As a company, we are proud of being able to support new talents and being part of a new generation of artists. We are from San Diego and letting the world know of all the talent we have here in our hometown is more than rewarding. I think what sets us apart from others is our personality as a company, we really are more human than we are a business. Some artists just come to the studio to chill because they like the vibe and the passion we have for music. I’m a musician more than anything so, I really understand a lot of the troubles we undergo as musicians and I think that really helps us to connect with everyone that walks through the door.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
It isn’t a Los Angeles or Hollywood honestly when it comes to music industry, but I don’t see why that should limit us here in San Diego. In today’s digital world, location shouldn’t be a factor. Plus, San Diego is a beautiful city and lots of people enjoy coming here on business, so yeah I’m all for it!
