Today we’d like to introduce you to Adriana Wroth.
Hi Adriana, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I moved to this country from Colombia when I was 17 after a very traumatic event where the father of my unborn child died in a fatal car accident not knowing the language; having a newborn in a country that wasn’t mine was very difficult.
I struggled financially and emotionally unfortunately, due to these factors and lack of experience in life, I ended up in a very abusive relationship that almost cost me my life on many occasions.
Being in this space helped me to be stronger, to understand what was right and wrong, and I knew at this point that I wanted to become an independent woman and I never have to have to depend on anybody, especially a man.
This is where my drive came to do great things in life, perhaps a little bit of anger of the position that I was in and not being able to provide for my family. I did so many jobs trying to find my identity and something that I love, and I was passionate about.
Fast forward many years later, my mother is a cosmetologist and esthetician, and she suggested I go to an esthetician school for the first time. I listened to her not knowing what the future will bring but hoping I will find something that I could be really good at.
I gave my best in school, and after graduating, I studied an additional two years on my own in all areas of aesthetics. Finally, I was offered a job as an educator; my first job was hard because it was something I’ve never done before; however, it felt so right, and I realized I had a gift of speaking and teaching.
In this job, I realized the lack of integrity and how people will say anything to sell skin care products and equipment by providing education that was not real information that was wrong and that day, I decided to open a small center where I could offer high-quality education and support to my fellow estheticians.
Shortly after I was diagnosed with a severe case of RA this was a big setback, I was physically unable to walk and move freely, and I got depressed. I had to close my business.
I am a fighter, don’t give up; as soon as I felt better, I took a leap of faith and reopened, and after many struggles working many nights, days, and weekends, I started seeing rewards.
My satisfaction was to see professionals learning real education feeling supported and their businesses changing and thriving. I realized then this was my calling and purpose.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Some of my struggles were not knowing the language, being in a foreign country without knowing my way around, having a small daughter at a very young age, being a widow, sickness, lack of confidence especially being a woman in the business world was very challenging.
