Today we’d like to introduce you to Aishane Hill.
Aishane, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I often made baskets for friends or coworkers… birthdays, baby showers, or secret Santa occasions at work. Being crafty runs in my family so, this came easy. I was inspired to make the small piece of joy I’m able to bring others business by the influence of my grandmothers. Imagine being raised during the era of Avvon saleswoman, that was my grandmothers and they kept the same successful entrepreneurial spirit til this day.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been smooth at all. There’s a lot to learn when starting a business, especially if you are the self-sustaining aspect in every department. My biggest struggle thus far outside of COVID-19 shipping complications has been my work schedule. As an active service member, my schedule can change at any second with zero time to adjust. Although, I have been working around it pretty decently.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
My business is a gifting service. I create custom gifts and/or party favors for any occasion such as birthdays, baby-showers, weddings, etc. I strive to create and showcase the love and admiration of anyone who decides to order a gift from my company. I am most proud of the strides I’ve made to become an entrepreneur. We all have big dreams but to execute them bid you were fully aware of your capabilities or not is a mesmerizing feeling.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I’ve always been into the arts. I was certainly a “doodler” in school. I love poetry and music museums. Anything that allowed someone to show direct expression of themselves, even the smallest portion of them, I was interested. Extremely compassionate and caring, as any of my friends will tell you. Being able to have a business that fulfills my desire to be artistic and aid in restoring faith in humanity is awesome!
