
Today we’d like to introduce you to Akayaa Atule.
Akayaa, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am Originally from Ghana West Africa. I came here to San Diego in the 2000. And I started my Band in 2002. When I came to San Diego, I always like to go out and Dance to African music. But there were None so I decided to start the Band. Is Call High Life music and Dance. Music that makes you happy, no matter what mood you’re in. And want to make you dance as well. I would like to do more Performances all over the Country once I get a Manager or a Promoter. I love to share more of my music by traveling all over America! We Perform’s for any events.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I has not been a smooth road, because I need a Manager. Who can help with the Marketing.
Akayaa Atule and Bolga Zohdoomah – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Is a Band. In music and Dance. We Educate people about African music and Culture We’re different because we play Traditional African music from Ghana and the Frafra people.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The Proudest moment of my Career, is I have produce/put out two CD’S out there. And I hope to get another one done soon!!!!

Akayaa and her band have performed several times for our Amnesty International events in North County. I highly recommend her and the group,for getting your audience up and inside in body and soul.
