Hi Alexis, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
There was a time in my life that being in an office setting and climbing the “corporate ladder” is what I was comfortable with– it was enough for me at that point. Now, I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit needing a creative outlet to keep me busy outside the 9-5 job, and I’ve always known deep down the office setting was not what I wanted. So fast forward to 2021 becoming a mother and returning to work after my maternity leave– I realized very quickly that being back in the office no longer aligned with how I wanted to be present for my daughter and family.
So, with the support of my little family, I took the leap to fully invest in my Jewelry business in Spring of 2022 and haven’t looked back since!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It certainly has not been a smooth road…anyone who has created employment for themselves knows how it can become a little overwhelming at times. There have been lots of long nights, countless hours of research, and even mistakes (sometimes expensive ones, haha) because I want everything to be perfect for my clients.
