Today we’d like to introduce you to Alina Teresa. She and her team share her story with us below.
Alina Teresa is a fashion designer, stylist, Dance Choreographer and blogger born and raised in New York. She first realized her passion for design in her early high school years of ninth grade. “It all started by just simply designing dance outfits I had in mind from there I just really began to realize how I enjoyed the way certain patterns and designs and colors complimented each other”
After she graduated high school in 2011 she began working with patterns, sewing machines and different materials for local weddings. In the year of 2012, Alina Teresa graduated from Ashworth College with an Honors diploma in Fashion Retail! With this diploma, she began her career as a fashion stylist.
“I tell my clients look good feel good don’t dress how you feel dress the way you desire to be respected” She went on to study management and from that same College she graduated in the year 2017 with a Bachelors of management degree. “I seek to expand myself and those around me, we are who we believe we are and there are no limits to where we all can elevate” Alina Teresa is the Founder of www.elevateinfashion.com and will soon be launching her own clothing Line! “Don’t stop go get it Don’t quit just get it
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I believe it’s not a smooth road for everyone, however, I do believe in perseverance. We live in and error where everyone is trying to compete with one another to be the best but I believe that shouldn’t be the focus. Just be you, be different, and never make others divert your attention off your purpose. Specially with the fashion industry it’s, always changing so I think the biggest obstacle is keeping up with the trends /times but why not be the trendsetter?! 😏
Please tell us more about your business, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
My company is called Elevate In Fashion and we aim to boost self-confidence by working through the mind primarily. Look good feel good. If we can get people to believe that they are not defined by how others judge them but by how he or she sees themselves when looking in the mirror then we are reaching our goals.
Making others believe they are beautiful, important, and special is our focus. Once you change your thoughts dressing just comes easy afterwards! ☺🙌🏾
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Haha! Great question, hm… I remember as a child the action of creativity floating through my home. There was always something new being created by my older siblings or mother. whether it be a newly written song or a brand new recipe mama just made up in the kitchen! There was just always something new and raw growing up and that gave me the inspiration to create new masterpieces myself! 😛
