Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda and Christopher Dahl.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Our family spent several years dealing with chronic health issues in both ourselves and our son. We tried several alternative healing modalities on top of the treatments suggested by doctors. All of those treatments added up to the whole family healing from our health issues, but the modalities that made the most profound difference for us were Reiki and Biomagnetic Therapy.
We were both called to learn Reiki for ourselves and it didn’t take long before people were asking us for sessions to help them with their own healing. Neither of us learned Reiki to do it professionally, but we saw what a difference we could make helping other people heal so we decided to open our own practice.
We started seeing clients at a naturopath’s office in Mission Hills. It wasn’t long before we were teaching classes and seeing clients regularly. As we grew, we moved to our healing center in Kearny Mesa that allowed us to expand the number of clients and students that we serve.
Since we started Dahl Holistic Health, we have expanded the scope of our offerings to also include Biomagnetic Therapy, Health Coaching, and Soul Coaching.
Has it been a smooth road?
One of the biggest struggles in trying to heal from chronic illness is the disconnect between healing the physical body while still addressing that there is a spiritual/emotional component. Reiki bridged this gap and accelerated our healing. When you have been chronically ill for several years, you get in the mindset that you will never get better. These beliefs actually keep you from healing physically, even after you have taken all of the suggested medications/treatments.
The major chronic illness that the whole family struggled with was Lyme Disease. One of the challenges of treating Lyme Disease is taking multiple doses of many medications and supplements, each and every day. At some points, this was over 50 pills a day. Biomagnetic Therapy helped because by strategically placing magnets on the body, it supported the immune system and allowed it to be able to fight the illness.
Another challenge was trying to navigate a disease that is multi-systemic while living with the constant brain fog and exhaustion. Medication schedules, doctor visits, and balancing careers was a constant struggle.

Reiki is a Japanese relaxation and stress reduction technique. It promotes healing by activating the relaxation response and helps the body to balance itself from a very deep level. It has been scientifically shown to decrease pain, speed healing, and relax the mind and body. It can only do good and can never cause harm. This service is offered in-person or remotely.
Our Reiki classes are not just a workshop where the student comes for the day, learns how to do Reiki, then is on their own. We take our role as Reiki Masters very seriously, and we continuously foster the Master/Student relationship from that point forward through our mentor program. It is our privilege to be a part of each student’s journey, and we work hand in hand with them to make sure they are getting the most out of Reiki.
Biomagnetic Therapy is an all-natural, noninvasive therapy that consists of the placement of special rare earth magnets of certain strength and polarity on specific parts of the body. Biomagnetic Therapy combines microbiology, pathophysiology, physics, and kinesiology into a simple, noninvasive therapy. This therapy empowers your immune system to heal the body, helps balance the body’s pH, and promotes natural self-healing. This service is offered in-person or remotely.
Amanda offers health coaching for people that are trying to navigate health challenges like Lyme Disease. She does not diagnose or prescribe treatments but helps to go through the pros and cons of different options out there. Sessions are catered to the client’s needs, and topics can range from navigating treatment options to self-care. If you’re feeling overwhelmed and need guidance and support, Amanda would love to work with you. This service is offered in-person or remotely.
If you are looking to balance your spiritual self with your outer self, we can help you clear emotional clutter and help you sort out which direction you’d like to take your life. Our Soul Coaching sessions are catered to your needs, and we help you navigate through different areas of your life that you’d like to change. You can schedule sessions with Amanda, Chris, or both together. This service is offered in-person or remotely.
