Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Holden.
Amanda, before we jump into specific questions about your practice, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have lived in San Diego for over 30 years. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Biology at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) in 2002 and my medical degree at UCSD‘s School of Medicine in 2008. After four years of residency training, I completed UCSD’s Emergency Medicine Residency Program in 2012 where I served as Chief Resident and worked as a flight physician for Mercy Air.
Following residency, I felt a special calling to train in the field of medical aesthetics. After repairing critical injuries in the trauma bay for many years and having an affinity for detailed and restorative repair, I was driven to learn the art of medical aesthetics. After taking a series of advanced training courses, I was invited to attend the Allergan Master Course where I was awarded a Master Injector Certificate in 2018. I am twice certified as a Master Injector as I was invited to attend this course again in 2019. I am the founder, owner, and Medical Director of Holden Timeless Beauty, a premier provider of Botox and Dermal Fillers in Southern California. Additionally, I serve as the Medical Director for various independent medical aesthetics practices in the area and pride myself in providing education and training to new RN, PA, NP and MD injectors.
In 2020, I will be launching an educational training program in Medical Aesthetics, The Academy of Medical Aesthetics, with the intention of teaching injectors throughout California the natural and beautiful aesthetic techniques that I have learned since I started this pursuit.
Has it been a smooth road?
Roads are never entirely smooth. We all have struggles, and it is truly those struggles that make us even better. As a physician, setting up a solid business model was one of the biggest difficulties in the beginning. My goal was to be different but deliver excellent service. We have grown at such a rapid rate that I am now simply trying to solidify the core structures in my business to make my practice successful for many years to come.
There have been many 16 hour days in this pursuit as I continue to work a limited number of shifts in the emergency department and run a business that now has locations throughout Southern California.
My main goal is to be innovative, a Democratic leader, and still have time to be a good wife and mother. It is not always easy working full-time, or more than full-time, in the latter role, but I believe that you can achieve anything you dream of, and my dreams are set on success.

Holden Timeless Beauty is a boutique Med Spa, specializing in Botox, Dermal Fillers, Kybella, PDO threads, Medical-Grade Microneedling, Chemical Peels, Skin Care with Skin Better and Body Sculpting with EMSCULPT. We are known for being different than your average doctor’s office. When you come in to see us, we want you to feel like you are getting advice from your best friend on how to age gracefully.
Our goal is to do preventative work to allow our clients to preserve their natural beauty. Our injections style is different, and we aim for results that reclaim your youth, but don’t look to the outside world like you truly “had a lot of work done.” No one wants to look botched or have someone whispering behind their backs. This is the look we ENTIRELY avoid. We want to see patients leaving our office feeling confident and beautiful with a healthy glow.
We offer free consultations for our clients and provide full facial assessments in our offices. Lifting the taboo associated with medical aesthetic treatments, we can educate women and men about what they can do in a preventative way to look and feel better. Aesthetic treatments are now much more socially acceptable than they were in the past. We want to make it comfortable for our patients to come into the office, talk about what they can do to look and feel better, and leave feeling happy and refreshed.

San Diego is a perfect location for a business like this. There is a huge focus on health and wellness throughout the county. People know that when you look and feel better, your mental health, motivation, and drive are affected. As we age or if we have something that we don’t like about our appearance, being able to soften this naturally makes people thrive.
I feel fortunate to be able to deliver these services and change the lives of my clients in a very positive way. I truly feel that the services that we provide uplift the spirit of our clients and make them able to give an even bigger part of themselves to those around them.
