Today we’d like to introduce you to Amnon Zakay.
Amnon started with the hair restoration business in Israel, 1982. Before then, he was himself, a hair restoration client. The owner of the hair restoration business that Amnon was attending had decided to sell the business (as he was moving away from the country). He offered Amnon to buy the business, thinking that he was a right fit due to his artistic and creative skills. Amnon decided to buy the business and learned most of the basic secrets of hair restoration from the previous owner during the two years which followed.
From the time Amnon had full ownership of the business, he dedicated himself to perfecting his method. Through the years, he built a great reputation in Israel for his service and his business treating high profile clients. He traveled the world looking for the best sources of human hair and continuously looked for ways to advance his procedure.
In 2002, he decided to move from Israel to San Diego with his family and children in order to build Raz in California. Despite being a new-comer, Amnon managed to effectively develop his clinic in San Diego. By 2016, his expertise in the field along with his numerous television and radio appearances made him one of only 15 to be an Accredited Master Hair Restoration specialist in the country. Today, Raz is a leading hair restoration clinic in southern California with clients from all over the country. This April, Amnon will be lecturing and demonstrating his unique ITHL method along with other hair loss topics at the American Hair Loss Council’s Annual Conference in Nashville (2018).
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
As a new-comer to the United States, Amnon’s primary struggle was adapting to American business life. He faced many barriers including language, culture, and understanding the American market. Even things like body language and basic attitudes posed a challenge.
Because he was fully confident in his skills and knowledge, he had the perseverance to continue developing Raz despite low revenue during the early years of the business.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Raz Hair – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We perform all methods of non-surgical hair restoration. Our flagship method, Integrated Hairlines (ITHL) sows additional hair into the clients existing hair without the use of glues or surgery and without shaving or trimming.
Our goal is not to conduct sales. We are looking to build a relationship with our clients. Every consultation is conducted by Amnon – not a salesperson. During the consultation, Amnon will assess your personal hair situation and provide you with his best recommendation.
We are known for our integrity and expertise in hair restoration. We are most proud of the long-term relationships we build with our clients.
What sets us apart from others is our ITHL method as well as our boutique atmosphere.

We’ll have a new website launching in April and Amnon will be giving a lecture and demonstration at the American Hair Loss Council’s Annual Conference in Nashville April 2018.
