Meet Amy Truesdale of Events By Lift — Lift Consulting

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Truesdale.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Amy. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My background is in nonprofit events and event management. I always thought I would be working in nonprofit, and never thought I would be running my own company, but after taking on my first (and only) corporate job in 2015 I pretty quickly realized I wanted to branch out on my own formally. I left the company and started our organization end of 2015, and we have been going strong ever since.

Lift Consulting was created on the basis of helping provide the event planning and event marketing services that many individuals and companies are often without. We assist clients from the very beginning phases to the very end touches of their dream events.

This past year we officially broke out Lift Consulting’s marketing side from the event management portion of the company and Events By Lift was born. We completely rebranded both websites and I honestly feel like it has been the best decision for our company since Day 1 of starting.

Has it been a smooth road?
Smooth is not the word I would describe for creating a multi-faceted company in San Diego. LIFT has experienced some great strides and some great setbacks along the way, but every step in either direction has always been a growing process.

My biggest discouragements came from peers and mentors early on in the development and launch phases of the company. I never needed to hear that what I was doing was the ‘best idea ever’ but sometimes it hurts to hear all of the skepticism and suggestions of a more corporate lifestyle.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Events By Lift — Lift Consulting – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
LIFT is known for being a multifaceted company that works with clients to truly take their event to the next level. We work with both individuals and companies for event planning, event design, onsite event management, and event marketing.

I am most proud of our strategic partnerships in the San Diego community. We have worked very hard to create long-term relationships with organizations that allow both LIFT and the companies to showcase the best of ourselves, and we are always striving to create more of these each year.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Best: food and the craft beer, hands down.

Worst: Summer traffic congestion driving anywhere near the beach.
