Today we’d like to introduce you to Andi Davis.
Andi, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve always been around Real Estate and construction my whole life. My mom was an interior designer and my dad was a developer. Also, I have a number of relatives in construction and other Real Estate related fields. I work in the specific Real Estate niche of investment Real Estate. We Sell Single Family and small multi-family fix and flip projects along with long term buy and holds. I work with investors from all over the county and even out of state.
My task is to identify a good investment property and acquire the property for my investor to purchase. My personal journey in Real Estate began in New Orleans, re-building Katrina deviated homes for families affected by the natural disaster. From there, I began doing some of my own fix and flip projects. I have found something I am passionate about, so I took the next step of getting my Real Estate license so I could better understand investment Real Estate.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a seven-year journey to get to where I am today. There were many lessons learned along the way as every chapter was a new experience for me: my first job in construction, my first renovation project, starting my career in Real Estate. Along the way, I have taken the challenges I have faced and turned them into learning experiences to grow from and get better at my craft. I am glad I took a journey to get to where I am as a Realtor. I am grateful for my experience in construction and home remodel, as it has laid a great foundation for my success in Investment Real Estate.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
NetWorth Realty of San Diego focuses on distressed Real Estate within San Diego County. Primarily, Single Family Residences up to four units. We are a national company, with 19 offices around the country and more locations opening soon. Our model is simple, we work with our investors to help them purchase investment properties. We analyze properties to determine theirs After Repair Value and renovation costs to help us understand what is an effective purchase price for our investors. Once Purchase price has been determined, we work with Sellers to negotiate a price that works for Sellers and investors.
I am most proud of our company because we are helping to renovate areas of San Diego, where many properties have fallen into disrepair. This in turn helps to clean up neighborhoods and help give communities a sense of pride. NetWorth Realty is set apart from other Real Estate Brokerages because our sole focus is investment Real Estate. I often get calls from other Real Estate Agents looking for properties for their investor clients. Investment Real Estate is a difficult and argues side of Real Estate to work, so many agents turn to us to help them with their clients as well.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment in my career so far was in my first year of Real Estate. I set a goal for myself to be able to facilitate a transaction in Rancho Santa Fe before the end of my first year. In my twelfth month, I closed a property in Rancho Santa Fe. It was the highest-priced transaction our office had done up to that point. After reaching my goal, I felt like not only do I belong in this field but I can excel!
