Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Garzon.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Angela. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
After 8 years of wedding and portrait photography, I realized I wanted to really push myself in a new creative direction. I’d become more involved within the artist and entrepreneurial community in San Diego (many of them women) and I knew I wanted to find a way to work with them. I’d found my people! So in January, I decided to launch an entirely new identity centered around brand photography and content creation. I’ve worked with some many awesome women in the last 6 months, helping them curate a visual representation of their businesses and passion projects.
Has it been a smooth road?
As with most Creatives, I’ll experience self-doubt or frustration. I’m my own worst critic, but I’ve surrounded myself with so many amazing women chasing their dreams that I’m inspired to always keep pushing myself further.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Create With Gusto story. Tell us more about the business.
I try to infuse a lot of my work with touches of whimsy and lots of color and joy. Dark and moody isn’t really my jam. Most people who’ve worked with me in the past comment on how comfortable and confident they felt in front of my lens, and that’s always the best feedback I could ever receive.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I think digital photography is definitely seeing a shift towards the positive, now that businesses are realizing what a valuable tool it is for advertising and growing one’s following.
