Today we’d like to introduce you to Angie Due.
So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I was a gifted child, drawn to all things spiritual and metaphysical. I was able to heal myself as a child, I thought everyone could! As a teenager, I lost interest in my gifts and was more interested in hanging out with friends, boys, high school football games and dances. I “woke up” as an adult and my spiritual journey picked back up!
I was truly guided to the location of my shop. I had no interest in owning a store but God had a different plan for me. I was lead by faith, trusted (not always easy) and very scary but it has worked out! My story is amazing, I’ll have to tell you all about it!!!! Too much to write!
I took Reiki Classes in the early 90’s and became a Reiki Master Teacher in 2008. I left taking these classes would make what I do naturally, legit!
Has it been a smooth road?
Not having any business experience that actually helped me! If I had researched opening a business, I most likely wouldn’t have done it.
I just jumped in blindly and figured it out!
I literally had no money when I approached the landlord of my building. I no idea that a deposit was needed! I had no idea how much money was needed for anything, utility deposits, insurance, inventory or displays, etc.
However, having faith, I knew there wasn’t anything to worry about! Being lead to the building where my shop is, something bigger than myself was at work!
So, as you know, we’re impressed with The Mindful Lotus – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
The Mindful Lotus is a store for Conscience Living, a Boutique for the Spirit. We offer Reiki Sessions & classes, Ear Candling, Ion Foot Detox, Readings, Meditation, Workshops and Women’s Gatherings. We carry crystals, essential oils, candles, books, oracle & tarot cards, herbal teas, CBD products, incense and lots of gift items.
I am most known for my Reiki! I’m old school, I’ve been doing Reiki for several years before it was trendy.
The shop is most known for our customer service, we are all talkers and love to laugh!!!! Sharing stories is what we do, we learn from each other. Talking about dreams, visions, seeing a ghost or are there really aliens 👽 is what we do daily.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love my city! The building my shop is in was built in the early 1900s. It’s historic. I think about the people that walked through my building, some leave psychic impressions!
