Anita, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
As a first-time mother in 2015, I was overjoyed and very much in love at the first sight of my baby girl. With all the love and excitement also came everyday challenges of learning how to complete tasks/goals, stay organized, maintain a healthy lifestyle all while keeping up with the developmental milestones and care of my baby. It was a lot harder to transition from a working girl to a stay at home momma than I thought!
I decided to turn my personal struggle into a passion to influence and inspire other mommy’s in the same situation. My goal is to help mommy’s get motivated, feel great, track accomplishments in order to create a positive lifestyle. Mommy-do is a lifestyle planner filled with useful tools, resources, and a community to provide support throughout the most amazing, rewarding and challenging times of mommy hood!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There are always ups and downs: Am I doing the right thing, will this work out, etc. There are mistakes I have made along the way that have been challenging but ultimately, I overcame them and know I always will. There is always a way!
I work on my business with my kids at home. I am usually up until midnight just so I can have the time to do what is needed to keep Mommy-do thriving. My kids will always be my first priority during the day, so in that sense, I have struggled keeping up. There are great days where I can work without a problem…. and there are days I drop everything to ensure my kids have the attention and love they need. Dropping and picking up your work can be very distracting and challenging, but I am making it work because I love what I am doing and I love my kids! 😊

Mommy-do is a goal getting lifestyle planner. The focus of our planner is to provide an outlet for moms. Keep them accountable and motivated day to day with a healthy lifestyle. With a section for momma, << because we all know It is very easy to get lost in the day to day grind of being a mom.>> It is important to still focus on us. That means self-care, relationship goals, exercise, eating healthy, etc.. A section for Momma & baby >>one of my favorite parts is the developmental milestones for our kids. We are their teachers, the ones who guide our kids in every aspect. Whether that is teaching kindness or learning the ABC’s, sometimes you have to write it down to create a focus day or week with your kiddos.
I am proud that this lifestyle planner is not just a calendar planner. This is a planner with purpose specifically for moms. To really hold moms accountable in the areas that mean the most. The areas that we tend to put on the back burner. We really want a healthy happier mom because that creates a healthier happier home.
Our community is also what sets us apart and our “One Mom a Day” movement is excellent. Our goal is to motivate one mom a day through our social media posts. If we can help one mom, we are happy. One mom who is struggling to get outside, one mom who is struggling to do something for herself…we want to help her! <>
What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was very competitive and motivated. I loved helping others and was very passionate about sports and animals. I was always ready to raise money for our jog a thons and happy to volunteer at sporting events. I was heavily involved in tennis and was raised with a wonderful background in sports and healthy eating which I am very thankful for.
