Within the tapestry of my life, the art of event planning and decoration has always occupied a special position, weaving its enchantment through my personal milestones – from my children’s birthdays to treasured family gatherings. Encouraged by dear friends, the dream of transitioning this passion into a profession initially seemed distant. However, the winds of change swept me into a new chapter in 2021, bidding farewell to my part-time occupation and embracing the role of a stay-at-home mom.
Amidst uncertainty, I dared to breathe life into my vision of an event-planning business. Each step, infused with prayers, timidly unveiled my creations to family and friends, seeking only reimbursement for materials. The journey was challenging, yet my determination remained unwavering, gradually refining my skills and mastering the artistry of my craft. Celebrating the third anniversary of Lively Party Creations this year, our offerings expanded beyond balloon designs, introducing a range of new services. With steadfast faith, we move forward, eager to embrace the unknown opportunities that destiny holds for our enterprise.
In this creative symphony, my steadfast partner, Andy Barrera, shines as a beacon of unwavering support and collaboration. Working behind the scenes, he transforms bespoke backdrops and designs into reality, bringing to life the visions entrusted to us by our valued clients. Together, we move in harmony, poised to explore new horizons and welcome the new blessings and plans that God has in store for our thriving venture alongside our two sons, Xayden, who is 11 years old & Xain, our 1.5-year-old.
We are excited to continue to see Lively Party Creations throughout All of San Diego County and Beyond our city as well.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In the initial stages, our focus was solely on producing basic balloon designs. As I delved into this art form, I embarked on a journey of self-education, learning unique techniques and exploring diverse methods to enhance my craft. Seeking guidance from online platforms like YouTube for intricate designs became a pivotal part of my learning process. Transitioning from rudimentary creations to more elaborate designs was a challenging shift; initially, I grappled with fundamental aspects such as installation methods and selecting appropriate balloon brands. Starting with basic balloons sourced from Amazon, I gradually elevated the quality by investing in premium brands. Despite the initial hurdles, my unwavering determination and eagerness to refine my skills have enabled me to craft exquisite balloon designs that delight our clientele today.

In our recent endeavors, we have specialized in curating unforgettable experiences for various events. Our services encompass comprehensive event planning, ranging from vendor sourcing to seamless event coordination. Renowned for our exquisite balloon designs and tailor-made backdrops, we also offer an array of services, including tablescapes, table linen rentals, centerpieces, and the new addition of bounce house rentals. Our latest acquisition, a toddler bounce house, marks an exciting venture as we aim to expand our offerings to include a variety of colors and sizes by 2024. At the core of our mission is the commitment to delivering exceptional and visually stunning experiences for our clients, their families, and friends, ensuring a warm and enjoyable celebration. Whether it’s a baby shower, bridal shower, birthday, milestone event, or wedding, we take pride in being part of diverse celebrations. Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Mastering my craft has been a transformative journey. The positive impact it has had on our business and on me personally is unmistakable. It’s common to compare one’s work or business with others and question its value, but my husband has consistently nurtured my confidence by emphasizing the uniqueness of my gifts and designs, for carrying our family through our financial times and struggles but has continues to support my goals no matter what. Our gratitude extends to our loyal clients, particularly those who supported us from the outset. Reflecting on our early days, I recognize areas for improvement, like enhancing balloon designs for their future events with us. We are deeply appreciative of their trust. Gratitude also extends to our immediate family for their unwavering support and for spreading the word about our business to friends and acquaintances.
