Meet Arman Raga

Today we’d like to introduce you to Arman Raga.

Arman, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m was born in the Philippines then moved to the U.S. when I was 11 years old. Since I was little, I’ve been in love with art (drawing, dance, music, fashion, etc.) Only later in high school where I first encounter photography. Then I picked up a camera and actually started shooting. I was in and out of it, shooting friends, landscapes, the street, just trying to capture real and candid moments.

Then I was invited to a photo meet up in June of 2017, and that’s where it all started. I unraveled my love for photography where I met a lot of my friends now. Now here I am, growing, learning, honing my craft, as well as, networking. I’m still not done; it’s just getting started…

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth ride. There were many things that kept me from shooting for a good period of time. I had to stop and focused on what I was dealt with. Figure out a way to get back to shooting without neglecting important things. Basically, life just hit me lol.

We’d love to hear more about what you do.
Ahh, I’m not what you would call a company or a business per se. I’m just an artist who loves to express his feelings, emotions in any way I can. Taking photos has been the wave I’m riding at the moment. Who knows, I might just go back to dancing or drawing again, we never know lol. It just depends.

And to be honest, I don’t really know what I’m known for or if I’m known for anything. All I know is that I create art that looks good to me and that makes me happy. What sets me apart from others? Hmmm, I’m not really sure either haha I guess you would have to ask the models and friends I’ve shot with/for.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Oooh, that’s a hard one because I have so many. But one that stood out the most was when me and my friends would make up random games to settle things or random games to play when we’re bored just to stay active and moving.
