Today we’d like to introduce you to Artisha Boone.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Charlotte . After living in Charlotte for 4yrs , my family and I wanted a change so we moved to San Diego, California . Moving to San Diego I became a stay at home mom also began pursuing my dream of becoming a high fashion runway model as well as a natural hair stylist.
Hair by Ti was started off as just a hobby that turned into a passion. I grew up as the only child and I didn’t have much experience braiding eventually teaching myself. As of today I am still learning new things and hoping to branch into a new style each day.
As a model, I have to seek photographers as well as open auditions. I currently do not have an agent for representation. July of this year I was given the opportunity to go to Hollywood and participate in a High Fashion Runway Show. For a company called “Preview Models”. Preview models is a production company that does about four High fashion shows in Hollywood a year with an 88% success rate as far as getting inspire models/talent recognized in this competitive industry.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Moving to a new place with new people /environment was a lot to take in. For modeling I have to really work hard and think outside the box to be recognized . Having to search for photographers and open auditions has been hard being that they almost always happen in the middle of the week . I will say some good came out of all my hard work. July 2019 I was given the opportunity to represent San Diego, California in a Hollywood High Fashion Runway Show. I will be participating in the fashion show March 2020 but I am in need of a small donation from you. It doesn’t have to be big it could be small. So now alittle bit more about Hair By Ti . Hair By Ti offers all natural hair styles such as flat twist styles , Crochet braiding , box braids (with and without adding hair) , children protective styles , quick styles, and men hair braiding . So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I am one to speak things into existence. So I would like to say “ I will be attending Hollywood High Fashion Runway Show in March 2020. “ and for my hair business “I will having an increased clientele soon enough.
