Today we’d like to introduce you to Azusa Barbie.
Hi Azusa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born and raised in Japan, moved to California in 2012. I moved to the country to be a Barbie influencer. I didn’t know exactly how to be it, but I kept growing my collection and did crazy DIY on my tiny studio apartment and shared on social media. Then now, my place became “Barbie Dream Apartment,” and I’m a.k.a. “Barbie’s Biggest Fan.” Mattel supports me by sending me Barbie dolls, and @Barbie follows me on Instagram! lol
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It might not be easy, but I wouldn’t say I was struggling. This is always what makes me happy but never down! That’s the true girl power which Barbie inspires me with!

-Miniature maker
Produce and sell 1/6 scale doll-sized miniature accessories.
-Nail artist
CA licensed manicurist and work on set sometimes. Used to be an exclusive nail artist for Betsey Johnson and Zendaya.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I never felt if I was succeeded enough. It’s not in negative way at all, but I’m just the one who is always ambitious and focusing on new dream and goal!
